This entire series is thankfully killing me. I have this exact car and color, albeit two years older. The amount of correction I’ve had to do has been criminal. These clinics have been invaluable.

Would colour sanding not be better & less stress to the clear coat??

Sanding removes orange peel, and will leave that area 'different' as a result

Really enjoyed the series. How does the low lint lambs wool pad compare to this purple wool pad. Does it give even more cut? Also is the low lint lamb's wool pad more aggressive than a microfibre pad?

Lake country pads are hard to get in my country NL. Is that going to change or where can i buy from with good shipping?? i use the purple wool all ready for the 21 rupes.

always afraid that using the wool pads on Japanese car's thin and soft paint

Pro tip: just because it's a Japanese brand does not mean it was made in Japan, or has stereotypical soft/thin Japanese paint (this particular car was most likely made in the UK). Same goes for if it's a German brand, it won't necessarily have stereotypically tough 'German' paint.... While on the matter: in he case of the most common defects, general swirl marks are normally only a couple of microns deep. OEM lacquer, whether sprayed in Japan, Germany or elsewhere, would normally be within the 40 - 60 micron range from the factory. Polishing out general swirls shouldn't be an issue, because you should be aiming to remove the same amount of material to remove those swirls, regardless of whichever pad you use. If you think your pad choice might be too aggressive why not carry out a short pass - stop early, check to see if you already removed the defects sooner than expected. If you did, you know!
