With Leafeon, I think a lot of people don't seem to realize that you can tap it a second time to bring it down early (for less damage) or that you can bring it down for full damage once the charge bar passes the little tick mark.

I wish you would make this video on all pokemon. There are a lot of combos and hidden bonuses that a lot of players don't know or miss. I've learned a lot from videos like this, like mr mimes benefits from hitting people into walls and wish there was just one video that covered it all.

Lapras was my big go to Pokemon but is much harder with the nerf. Bubble beam and water pulse was such a dynamic combo. Bubble beam was an excellent disruptive move but the extended water pulse after the nurf made it very hard to kill when you needed it most. I love it's unite move not just because of its sheild and wave but it's great to use to pull your team mate out of a potential KO situation and ride it back to a goal where it can recover and you can defend it.

mime is actually solid carry, he's my highest this season with 62% winrate. i play psychic & power swap, its so fun and so good against speedsters, it can set up so good things as well. similar to you jake i use spoon, atk specks and choice, for emblems 6 green & white with focus on hp seem the go. mimes unite is quite insane as well and it can leed to full team wipe. i feel like this build is super slept on, psychic stuns abit too which is great as well. i actually tried green & black on mime in practice but i didn't feel like it does enough to be worth while.

Goodra is also a good defender carry because you don’t need to rely on your teammates as much if they’re afk/griefing

I love getting updates on what emblems Jake's running, but just in case it's not been mentioned, there are a couple errors with the emblem colours. For example Umbreon's says green instead of white and Dragapult's says 6 orange and 4 white but the emblems are the other way around. Hope this is some helpful feedback, enjoy the post-NAIC break my man!

i believe hydropump, surf blastoise is excellent for the double stun combo and is a very viable defender with focus spoon and amp

Idk what makes me want to quit matches more, peak Zacian or current Umbreon

as for slowbro: i was sccold believer for quite awhile but now i think that surf is waaaaaay better, it can set up so many things. i play surf with amnesia ofc. it might deal less dmg but things it setsup make up for it. my build is spoon, muscle and atk specks, for emblems i use 6 white & green with focus on hp. surf also makes slowbro really good vs speedsters and dive mons.

Lapras is Water Pulse/Ice Beam. I will typically top the team in all three data categories with that build.

The best dragonite build by far is outrage d-dance with drain crown aeos cookie and muscle band, I had a game where I got 175k damage with this build. It was awesome.

I personally love Foul Play + Wish. Let's you take that "team captain" role (esp. once you learn how to target with wish). The role compression Umbreon provides, being a tanky sustain defender which can dive in with foul play like an all-rounder or speedster to secure lower hp KOs or push into the enemy's flux zone while an ally scores, and then play pseudo-support with Wish in big fights or en route to objectives, is honestly insane. That last part is super underrated, being able to leave after team fights/objectives onto the next one with Umbreon, self-healing or choosing which nearby ally to heal as opposed to needing to go back to base. Like the time it buys you going from bottom regi to eleki or whatever else feels sometimes borderline oppressive, especially when the enemy team doesn't have one.

A9 has always been my favorite and I'm constantly getting top player on teams. Sometimes I can hold the top lane just by myself and it's crazy.

i like to double stack on umbreon and that just turns it into an ultra tanky allrounder. also foul play has insane playmaking potential with eject button

i simply love to play as dragapult. Both its dragon dance and phantom force are super funny, like, else u spin like crazy around ur enemies, or you become invisible and just appears at a random place with no warning, different of sableye, and starts to harass your enemy with basic attack xd

I can definitely say umbreon is a top tier defender. I've had nightmare solo queues where everyone chooses an attacker, no ones bothering with team synergy. I'll use umbreon, evil eye and wish, and win my matches if the attackers stay nice and aggressive.

im a mr. mime main and i run power swap psychic its damage is better than most attackers if you stack it and it even helps you run in tough situations

I remember that crisheroes said that dragonite is minor and less notice, but suddenly everybody is mentioning that dragonite is very powerful with hyperbeam, but for me outrage will always be my favorite before and after the buffs.

Hey Jake idk if someone else said it already but there was a mistake in your video with Umbreon and his emblems, it states on the bottom you have six greens and six browns but it shows on top you have six whites and six browns. The problem of this solo pokemons is that so many solo que players play carry pokemons and think they can play without team, hence the pokemons in a team has no synergy and the surrender vote starts and always choose pokemon they like instead what they should pick.

Both the mewtwos are still the metas with the right build and right moveset and when to attack. Ofc y can be easily beated but it needs speed to be op. X needs bulk to be a beast. I made X a little bulky and its almost 1v1 everyone except dragonite. Its op as hell

29:20 I think you rush a little there Jake ;) Its deal 20% max HP damage, but for wild pokemon its capped at maximum of 2400 damage. If it deal 2400% of max HP it would one shot anything (24 x 100% of max HP).

Buddy Barrier, Energy Amp and Razor claw is Best Leafeon Built Bcoz most of the time you try to do your Unite move in between a Team fight u are most probably die either without casting it or after. So its simply very usefull

Honestly I would have put Clefable instead of Mime as the third support. Mime Is struggling so much right now, and this Is the Season of Umbreon and Leafeon in every single match, together with Zoroark and many other dashing threats, you just stick to whomever in your team is carrying, deals the most damage or has the highest level whatever, and protect him/her with Gravity, your heals and Buddy Barrier. Easy win recipe right there

Although Duraludon looks tanky, it's really squishy, and once enemies get close to u or get at least one burst damage, u have very little chance of escaping death, which sucks

I main cramorant, and i use dive hurricane because once they get knock up i can dive to them doing insane dmg

imo if you carry you throw exp share, so i wouldn't take it for umbreon. foul & wish is also very good. my build is muscle, claw and weight, as for emblems i take 6 brown & white with focus on hp ofc, i have like 400. atk weight is wild on umbreon cuz wish has crazy scaling of atk and ofc because foul scales of your own atk if its higher which is most likely the case vs other tanks or mages. wish heals aton and allows umbreon to stay alive for longer. you can play this build and still enjoy umbreon without playing the dirty op build everyone hates playing again. this is the ethical umbreon build.

I've found that when I get to "carry" as Goodra I end up doing exceptionally well and have a greater than 50% win rate. But this is my first ranked season, so I don't know much.

I have started to play unite two weeks ago and I can't really understand how to counter all rounders. The idea of all rounders is that they can play every role but worse than specialised pokemons but what I see is complete opposite - they have hp of defenders, damage of attackers and some of them even have mobility of speedsters. Had a game with buzzwole, urshifu and scizor in the enemy team and I have never felt so helpless in my entire life. What can I possibly do to counter someone with such ridiculously high hp and damage?

i think they should add king gambit with low attack stat but the more total KO's opponent teams have the higher its attack stats go and that way it will be a good pick with squishy but high utility pokemons like decidueye, alolan ninetails and almost every speedster

For Lapras, I’ve been having a lot more success with Perish Song/Ice Beam lately and have often found myself outdamaging my carries. Lol As for Duraludon, I’ve always been a Flash Cannon gamer and often find more success with it by running full crit items and emblems. It actually had the higher win rate just last week, but it’s still relatively high.

i left the game in season 6, most of the pokemons that i have are old and are not in this video, for what i have been playing with my Tyranitar, Umbreon and Dragonite are crazy on solo q That weird walking wolf is also op

I personally use dragon dance outrage on dragonite and it works like a charm. The increase attack speed from dragon dance, rapid fire scarf, and the bonus crits from scope lens makes outrage hit like a truck and it does so many moves so fast that it kills anything.

i can't believe you didn't talk about how mandatory is it to equip FullHeal on Zoroark and Dodrio, but you made an emphasis on xAtk on Elde, who can basically use any battle item 😦

Going on a tangent that's kind of related to the video, I think we should normalize defenders being seen as potential hyper-carries. Not to Umbreon's degree, but defenders having high damage numbers at the end of the game should be normal. They aren't doing damage as quickly as attackers, but they're able to fight longer, and against more targets. If they're constantly fighting, and doing a good job surviving, I think it should be normal for some defenders to be able to output 90-100k by the end of the game. Defenders, attackers, speedsters and all-rounders should all have potential hyper-carries among them. The only role that shouldn't are supporters, who should be good, just not as self-sufficient as other classes.

What's the point of exp share for Umbreon when the rest of your team doesn't farm?
