Cirroc and Walter had their own "Martha" moment, except theirs made a lot more sense than saying "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?"

"What do you want? Violins?" I'm like was that violence or violins? I had to to turn on the sub titles for that and rewatch that. LMAO

phonetically: "Vat do you vant, wio-lence?" Always loved Chekov's pronunciation of that line.

@@gpfoster1966 the subtitles say violins. LMAO So if it is supposed to be violence then the subtitles are wrong.

In Star Trek ll The Wrath Of Khan Spock is next to Saavik next to her is Sulu next to Sulu is Kirk...while Saavik and Spock are talking Shatner who is stan̈ding beside Sulu walks into the centre of the shot as they all look at the viewscreen completely blocking Sulu out of the shot...this was the kind of thing that annoyed the actors there was no actual need for Kirk to move from where he was

Scotty took command in other episodes and had even more time. I think it was called "A private little war". Scotty got a lot of great screen time. "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" regarding the klingons tricks.

Finally got to watch this, a week later! Great review and i laughed at Walters dinner party story about Diana Muldaur again. I can see her giving him that classic blank look of hers and, "I don't remermber that at all." I also found it helarious that Cirroc and Walter each had their own version of Mardah/Martha in their on screen love life. Sorry I missed hanging out with #ChatPack in the Live Chat, lots of humorous stuff in there for all to laugh about. ONE LOVE #ChatPack, The Next Generation of #ChatFam!

That was a nice joke at the end with Cirroc saying Volentines Day and Walter not catching the joke.

"how did it see them to move the flowers to shoot them?" "I'm the eyes and ears of vhaal". My guess is vhaal knows what direction he's looking and what his location is. It probably has extra sensors as well and could tell that there were new comers. So all he had to do is keep his eyes pointed at them and the flowers would shoot.

Surprised no one picked up on Kirk's line, "Would you mind being careful where you throw your rocks, Mr. Spock!?" Maybe it came up in "Things Unsaid," but it seemed like an interesting, and early indication of where this episode was going.

I remember going through the entire tos series to see how many times Shatner steps on another person's line. He seems to respond early that eliminates the other person's line. It looks like Shatner is making a mistake and speaking to soon, but he's not. He's trying to eliminate others lines. One is captured in the famous blooper reel in Return to Tomorrow. See Shatner step on Kelly 's line. Kirk is returned to his own body and appears weak. McCoy:Jim? McCoy grips Kirk's arm and was about to say his second line but Kirk responds:I'm fine, Bones. Then McCoy asks the question he was supposed to ask: Are you alright? And everybody cracks up. Innocent flub. Taken in isolation...yes. In mudd"s women he totally cut Scotty off when he was discribing how they damaged the Enterprise saving Mudd. In The Tholian Web Kirk identified The Defiant and Keonig shots Shatner a shocked face. was Chekov supposed to i.d. the Defiant and Shatner stole his line. I'd like to know. Ask Walter...I know it was a million years ago..but why did he turn and look at Shatner like that. thanx.

That is a good point Cirroc brings up with the fact more is invested in Spock than the Red Shirts. I never caught Kirk gives a number but never says what was invested if it was money or something else.

I forgot how many people died in this episode. So when it takes 2 transports to get all the redshirts down, I'm like........were there more deaths than normal in this episode? LMAO

The head of Vaahl looked like it was made of plaster or something. But while the plants looked fake, they also looked like they would have only looked fake now and not back in the 60's on an old TV.

Yes. The Prime Directive is definitely more honored In The Breach.(When they break it.) It totally disappears in year 3. In The Paradise Syndrome Spock gives all kinds of reasons not to tell the natives about the impending danger. But he doesn't say it violates The Prime Directive.

I watched this on my computer instead of the fire cube TV this time. I was surprised the quality was 10x better than normal. As a result I'm probably getting a new fire cube tv. I checked some settings. We'll see how it goes with TNG tonight. If TNG looks all smeary then it's getting replaced. I noticed it says my wifi is like 2 bars. Which is odd because the router is right above it. The new one supports a cable so even if the newer wifi doesn't work, wired is an option.

it was definitely a computer communicating with him, but that was my big question as well. What's the purpose of this computer in the first place? If it only exists to be fed and keep them alive......why? It didn't make any sense. Maybe that's why this isn't one of my favorites.

I wish I could provide the same level of quality of life to my dogs as Vhaal did. My oldest dog is not doing well. She's slowly becoming paralyzed. Nothing I can do about that.

The thing that always bothers me is how the red shirts get killed by the flowers and almost nobody cares but then Spock gets attached by them, then it's serious.

I agree with kirk. They aren't supposed to interfere with the natural development of a planet, but there was nothing natural going on here.
