Spree is a short film that grew out of our fears of living in a heavily populated urban environment. We pass people every day on the street, and we hardly think twice about it. But what if one of those people decided to break away and start acting on the dark impulses they have in their head?
Spree is a story that explores how easily an urban Boogeyman can operate in our society, and we'd never know it.
Jacob is a man who is stuck in a rut. He does all of the things that society tells him he has to do: He goes to work, he pays his bills, he keeps to himself...etc. He plays by the rules, and doesn't make any waves. There is nothing remarkable about him. Chances are you passed many like him over the course of your day. He could be me, he could be you.
What separates Jacob is that he has a plan forming inside his head. His plan is to break free from the shackles that he feels society has placed on him. He's going to start acting on impulse, for the first time in his life.
Now, he will navigate the urban landscape a changed man, as he enacts his horrifying killing spree. This is good for him, but very bad for us...
