`Spring homestead building chores

What I did May 20/21( basically 2 half work days, to keep progress going on building the future homestead. There is so much variety of items that I never thought about in the planning stages that steal so much time. Definitely have to enjoy the journey and not just focus on the destination. I will end up doing more specific and detail videos on the barn building parts. But I am just having fun with making videos, I even drop a tree on my camera!

Looking good! Glad to see you made it through the winter. Get back on that barn! Can't wait to see the finished product!! Seems like you can do a lot with your tractor.

Does Coors still have his female friend? Everything looks great! You’re making awesome progress! Where online can we find the things you sell?

Yes he still has his buddy to follow him around and steal his rawhides. Thanks for the compliment. I usually sell on facebook marketplace or local craftshows. Are you in the michigan or wisconsin area? It may be a while as we got alot on the to do list but next batch of things I make I could send you something, free no strings attached. email me at gail6924@charter.net. if your interested. My current craft project is totem pole animals on 1x boards as practice for making a big pole for the property.

Thanks for the variety in this video. A little bit of everything! Have you thought of grafting any apples from the old local varieties on the old, empty, homesteads around you? Last fall we found a beautiful snow white variety with a bright red, bleeding skin, among others, we will try to graft next spring. We tried to start some seedlings as root stock early this year but found a mouse had discovered them as well as we were dampening them between paper towels in my shop. Grrr. Good news is the mouse died from eating them. I saw some of your sunflower, milo mixes previously and the success you had. Do you use them for wildlife or harvest them?

Grafting from the old homesteads is a great idea. I am definitely going to try it. There is no shortage of them in my area. Thanks. The sunflowers are just for the critters. We enjoy watching them and it feels good helping them out in getting ready for winter.
