First they were two weeks late....then, when they finally do bloom, I GET SICK and begrudgingly push myself out of the house anyways to enjoy them since they only bloomed for like a week 🤧
Did I make myself sick for longer? Maybe. Was it worth it? Yes.
Seriously if you are planning a spring trip to see the cherry blossoms, don't feel sad if you don't see them or only see a bit of them...they are truly fickle creatures

Im sick right now too. Currently resting up at a ryokan in Kyoto. Hoping to catch the blossom at Hirosaki when my itinerary takes me up to Aomori on the 27th. I know they just past their peak viewing period. Hope I don't completely miss out.
