Well now... Chanel went right back to the 1960"s with this collection... I remember when I was a teenager, I was addicted to sewing with Vogue Patterns and this is just the kind of styles that were offered then... As a Professional seamstress, I can appreciate the incredible quality of the fabrics and sewing in Chanel clothing... This is an exceptional collection... I loved everything!

It's really heartbreaking to know he will never walk out waving at the end of a Chanel show. The guy WAS Chanel. Literally an icon. He led an interesting and full life. Really thought he had another 5 years to him. What creative director could manage 3 fashion houses for nealry 40 years? I can't think of anyone. R.I.P

Rumors yesterday says Karl is sick! in 35 years in Chanel is the first time he did not appeared at the end of the show. Let's pray for his recovering.

@Matt Frazier ... no it doesn't sound too good, but let's face it: He is 85 now, normal retirement age is 65, so for 20 years every new show was already a "bonus". Whether we like it or not, but it is kinda obvious that we are already at the rear end of "as long as possible".

Yes, I knew something was wrong when Karl was not there for the finale: (( He died today: Tuesday February 19, 2019. He was a courageous man who revived the Chanel House & reminded us that trends die but "the classics of Fashion" live on forever. Thank you Karl Lagerfeld.

Who would’ve thought this would’ve been Karl’s last show? It carries so much more meaning now that he’s gone. A true visionary is now gone, and we’ll all miss Karl so much. 💔 He truly revolutionized the fashion industry and will never be forgotten. RIP KARL LAGERFELD (1933-2019) 💐

Adding on to what you said, Lagerfeld once said that being modern is doing what is daring with a touch of individuality. This show was a breathtaking combination of vintage & modernity with a splash of creative flair both classic & youthful. I thought this last collection truly embodied what Lagerfeld sought for Chanel. Rest in Peace creative genius. Chanel herself would be so proud of you carrying on her legacy. Hope Chanel is in strong hands now. 🙏💕

Way to uphold your masterful legacy in a time when your designing peers have fallen by the wayside. So modern, so imaginative, so chic. I am actually speechless, but something must be said. These pieces are museum quality, yet so simple, fresh and forward. Anyone, young or old would be shown to their best advantage in any of these designs, just magnificent Karl!

Despite usual criticism of Karl Lagerfeld, I think all categories of Haute Couture had very elegant Chanel silhouettes. Especially the feather section, mon dieu those silhouettes.

I never had a chance to buy anything Chanel, but Karl seems so talented and all the Chanel clothes speak elegance in their own Chanel way. Hopefully one day I have a chance to wear a Chanel dress. And hope Karl’s legacy can be passed on 💖

The silhouette makes the girls look freakishly tall. It’s that drop waist, high structured shoulders and long hem lines. No petite girl could rock this collection. Karl is an absolute genius, though. I can’t fathom how he manages to design for Chanel and Fendi along with his other lines, and create such impeccably beautiful original luxurious clothes! I do love the leather,lace and feathers in this collection, to die💋
