Here is a strength training workout I did this week which focuses on strength and power training for sprinters. Also included is injury rehab exercises I am doing to heal the sports hernia I am currently recovering from.

Good to see your injury isn't as bad as it coulda been. I did block starts with the team at practice today and not gonna lie, that kinda made me wish I trained for the 100 off season because even though my starts weren't horrible(that is until my shin splints grew), I feel the difference between how my top speed and my acceleration. Normally I've been dominating practice, but today proved that I may be top 5 on start good, but I think I tunnelvisioned too hard on training my starts without blocks off season. Not to mention, I am a 200m and 400m runner, so I did a lot of work on starts off the curb and mastering the slingshot, so going all out on the straight doesn't feel unnatural, but does exploit my upper body tightness that I've always had on the arm swing out the blocks.

thank you, I just have a question. Is it true that "drills on step platform" are one of the main exercises for the "explosive power" of the calf muscle?
