It is a beautiful kit. The raised rivets on the fuselage are so fine. The rear fuselage underside panel difference is the cutout for the two different tail wheels.

Thanks for the review Jamie, I don't think I have seen a bad review or build on an Arma product yet, and modelers are a fussy lot to be sure, everything looks really nicely done.

The orange exhausts were painted with a high temp resistant paint that reduced their glow when operating as a night fighter

Nice looking model and (weirdly?) I’ve always preferred the Hurricane over the Spitfire (at least over the earlier marks). There are two underside tail sections, because there were two types of tail wheel - you can see that one just has a plain notch, whilst the other has an extra cutout in it. The former had the earlier tail wheel (just an un-sprung, castoring, yoke) whilst the latter had the extra cutout to clear the sprung (hydraulic?) oleo arrangement (also castoring).

A stunning kit Jamie ,its got to be one of the best in scale , as regards the cost I think it's spot on considering Airfix's is £30 and is 8yrs old . I know where my money would go .Thanks for the review 👍

Your comments on this kit are pretty much what I expected as everyone seems to agree that the detail is stunning. The thing that interests me is how the decals are going to be affected by the raised rivets. As Arma are a highly regarded manufacturer I'm assuming they will have test built one of these and are aware of any potential pitfalls. I see you are hoping to preempt any issues by using stencils. My question is this. If you use these instead of decals is there a chance the stencils won't sit correctly over the uneven surface and lead to colour bleed? I've no experience of this method so I'm talking as a novice. Should be a great build and can't wait to see how you tackle it 👍

Tempted by this one, especially as the intruder option is the same markings that were on one of the Hurricanes when I was with BBMF. I don’t think £45 is expensive when you're getting quality.
