As bad as this movie was, as a kid I remember being so amazed when they called all the characters from the past two films to fight in the climax. This movie walked so Avengers: Endgame could fly.

@@Elli-gl7gu kinda hard not to with the difference in production and technology but dang it reminding me about that makes me wonder, while they have had the big "come together" scenes in the comics did they happen to get a lil inspiration from this or another source.. sadly i agree with the overall bad though. a couple laughs and the end didnt make up for the problems. the first two spy kids were goofy and had their bad moments too but they at least stayed entertaining.. and i've never seen the 4th but dont really plan to atm.

I remember this is the first 3-D movie I ever saw. This was back when they still used those 3D with the red and blue lenses. The reason that make you take your glasses off is to give your eyes a rest because it made your eyes sore. This is one of those movies only kids can appreciate.

It's alright. I LOVED Suicide Squad when it first came out just about half a year ago, and now I just find the parts I used to like cringey (Except the action scenes, which I just forget)

Makayla Tomasi It was directed by the same person, it stars an obnoxious boy and an older more intelligent girl as the heroes, it has the same style of special effects, everything is made black and white and overexagerated as from a kid's perspective, and it also sucks.

Makayla Tomasi Well, it was a similar plot in that it had kids go through an adventure that destroyed in any semblance of suspense of disbelief to miraculously thwart the nonsensical doomsday plan of an unrealistically immature evil genius played by a poorly casted actor.

I do admire Rodriguez, he made this movie with pretty small budget, got alot of big name actors to sign up, and still managed to earn back about 5x what he spent. The CG in this movie was laughably bad even for the time but he must be doing something right if he got Clooney and Stalone to humiliate themselves, and still got them to put in some real effort.

+RepublicofEthan The 1966 series was supposed to be funny, it fit with the campy comics at the time. However, Batman & Robin wasn't a parody, and it came at a time when comics weren't as campy anymore. Plus, it's in Batman & Robin, so basically everything was shit.

not really. This plot idea has been around for ages. Going off my lifespan I've also seen it in .hack, the matrix, Tron & Tron: legacy, Dr. Who (from different perspectives), and the outer limits. That's what I can remember off the top of my head but long short it's a pretty old idea.

I get what you were going for. The same comparison you made between SK 3d and SAO was made when SAO came out. That SAO is pretty strikingly similar to .hack, but in actuality it's just a trope. If you want to see the full scale of it look up the "win to exit" trope.

I remember really liking Spy Kids 3, mainly because they were in a video game, and the lives-number counting down thing. (I once tried to come up with a story where someone didnt know that they had 2 lives, but it went nowhere. All I could really do with that idea is have a scene where the guy dies, and then magically comes to life for no reason.) I remember hating Spy Kids 4, because of that scene with the videotape.

From IMDB: Elijah Wood: Robert Rodriguez wrote the role of 'The Guy' with him in mind. Wood had previously starred in Rodriguez's The Faculty (1998) shortly before finding out about The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001). The suit that Wood wore was originally one for the character Juni, but they spray-painted it silver and Cellotaped it to him as it barely fit. In the shot where Wood is kneeling down, talking to the others, he is actually looking at the ground to give the impression that he is towering over everybody.
