I remember seeing a discussion about the opening theme being mostly from Loid's POV which is why you see a lot of Yor and Anya since it's we are seeing what Loid sees. The song itself is about a person finally finding a family that the they are rushing back home to see them which fits Loid nicely.

Actually there’s more to the lyrics than just him finding a home when the song is first released I saw a post on Tumblr had the translation of the song and the person who translated said it’s also about the fact that he wants to keep all of these memories for when he has to eventually leave them, because to him these memories are too precious for him to let go of so he wants to treat those memories as if they were a souvenir which could be why the song is called “souvenir”. Also I agree with the shots being mostly from Loid’s perspective but I do believe the one where Anya and yor is running through the field may actually be shot from The dog perspective because it’s too low for it to be Loid.

The sad fact is that this did happen in WWII. The Soviets trained dogs strapped with explosives to run at tanks expecting food and then they would blow them up.

It didn't work. Rather than run at the enemy, the dogs hid under sowjet ranks, blowing them up

Something funny that I found out from the comment of another video was that apparently the voice actor for the dog is the same voice actor as the bat devil in Chainsaw Man, which is hilarious to me.
