Good Morning. Thanks for the clarification! You can play the device back through a Windows or Mac computer. You can use iTunes, Windows media player or our preferred media player VLC media player to listen to the recordings off of your computer.

@ James White - We can't sell anything along those lines when it comes to just audio as it's considered a surreptitious audio device and, therefore, illegal in the United States.

Good Morning. This device can record while plugged into a PC or USB powered port, but it will not charge simultaneously while recording plugged into the mentioned devices. To answer your questions this device can run independently of being plugged in as well for up to 24 hours continuously or up to 25 days while in VOR mode.

@ Bob jones not my real name - It shouldn't change the record settings. But keep in mind the actual hole is very small and won't fit on most lanyards. Thanks for watching!

Good Afternoon. The only software on our device is the record folder (where the recorded files go when saved) and the time and date set up software. It sounds like the device may be defective.

@ Elton McRae - Unfortunately, we cannot offer full and complete tech support for any devices not purchased from us, as we are not sure if the product was from the same manufacturer or anything like that. You may, of course, take a look at any of the literature we have for the products we carry on our website, spycentre.com, to see if the support videos and quick start guides can help. Generally, formatting is the last option to go with, but letting the battery die so that it can reset is a good first step, along with clearing the memory fully and completely.

You can leave it on or off it does not effect the audio pick up.
