I like how they still produce an original clipit. Looks pretty cool in the green. I would also add the Caribbean in my opinion is one of the most underrated knives Spyderco makes.

I just got one of these, been waiting for awhile for it to release, I love it, awesome little filet knife, can't wait to use it at the beach this summer!

I’m wondering if they made these because they had the blade stock? Super happy to see a classic design back. I bought a classic g-2 rescue clip it, so it’s cool to have a new one. My first lc200n as well. Probably what I’ll work with for my knives over magnacut. I like how it’s basically cpm 154 maybe even more wear resistant. Crazy how much spyderco invented for pocket knives. I really hope to see them re run the schempp balance and equilibrium, the kiwi with k390, and the gayle Bradley air. Few other small knives they used to run. They also need a dedicated tactical folder for their line, the terzoula design would be cool tk see again. What would you like to see again?

Wow your clip it endura is pristine. Those older steels scratch readily too.

This has a blade thickness of like 1/16” so that would factor things for me.

Dunno if you have decided by now, but i just got my Catcherman in the mail a couple days ago and got to put it to use on some trout. I think the chief salt is a great all purpose large camping folder. It can fillet ok, but it is way better at all sorts of other cutting tasks, It's a better all rounder. The Catcherman is light years better at processing a fish due to the thin, flexy blade, however it's really not designed for much else except for maybe cutting your fishing line. If you have other edc knives, and want a good folding fillet knife get the Catcherman. If you want a better all rounder, that fillets slightly better than your avg pocket knife at processing fish get the salty chief.
