This is without question the nerdiest, most detailed overview of this wonderful knife I’ve ever watched. And I loved every minute of it. Great job! 👍🏻

Absolutely beautiful review. I want to do my own review of the dragonfly since I've carried mine for a full year it's been on my waist even when I sleep, but then I see this one and think there is no point you've done an awesome review.

This is one heck of a review. You showed off the little hidden a gems and benefits of this knife better than any other I’ve seen. So much so that I’m no longer dithering about getting one!

just picked this one up to add to my collection of Spydercos and i have to say - for 95% of lightweight, daily tasks - this is the one. can't get over how light it is. amazing.

I just ordered my second Dragonfly (I lost my first), to join my Spyderco Chicago. I have loved my Spyderco knives. Fabulous job with this video. Wonderful observations & lessons all around! I saw the length of the video, thinking I’d move on. I watched the whole presentation. Excellent!

I still love this knife. As a matter of fact I'm out of town right now. When I left home I stopped by my knife collection to choose a knife for the trip . . . the dragonfly made it into my pocket.

Wow! What an excellent overview of the knife. It's as if you were the knife's designer.
Great Review and it happened to be about the Knife I'm most interested in at the moment, eventually I'll have to get one.

Just ordered one after a few years of hesitating. I wasn't sure if the price was reasonable for such a small knife, but I'm sure it will do me well based on your review. Thanks a lot!

How has it treaded you so far? I have just a little over a year with mine, I love it more and more as time goes on

@@Mr1Alex91 The very first one I got was a nightmare. Long story short, it just wouldn't get sharp. I tried everything, didn't work. It was so bad I had to order another one. Thankfully the second one was good and got crazy sharp very easily, it's my sharpest knife. I don't know what happened with the first one. Overall I really like it and it's the knife I bring with me when I go places where people are scared of knives. Nobody's scared of the Dragonfly and they all think it's cute, which is a good thing since it punches above its weight and I can still have enough knife on me at all times.
@Mr1Alex913 жыл бұрын
@@jelaienfinue Glad you didn’t give up on it and glad to hear the second one served you well 👍, yea that’s one of the things I really like about the knife, I don’t get stares like I’m Hannibal lector or something when I pull it out unlike my other knives lol

Such a useful review! Only that on 11:10 that is the proximal interphalangeal joint, not the MCP. Just a heads a up haha

This was one of the most in depth and thorough knife reviews I've ever read, and I read a lot of them. I have had my Dragonfly 2 in ZDP-189 for a month now and have used it as my EDC since. I love this knife and the presumed millennial who stated the video was too long......I've said it all.....millennial with no attention span. All of the fine details that you pointed out in this video are what this exquisitely designed knife is all about, and what other reviewers have missed. This knife is a scalpel. Make sure you strop it often to avoid what I assume will be an arduous sharpening process with ZDP being such a hard steel. GREAT REVIEW!!!!! Keep it up.

With all due respect to BladeHQ's lock tests, their methodology on that test was flawed: they put their wire loop right over the lockbar of the lockback, effectively pushing it into place when the motor started pulling. That is probably the reason why the lock didn't fail and the blade broke. I think they should have moved the loop further up the handle to avoid any direct interference with the locks.

11:10 after washing your hands, while they are still slightly damp, apply some lotion to those "metacarpophalangeal joints" (and the rest of the hands.) Great review.

My EDC is a zdp-189 Delica 4 and I find it already quite small, I doubt the utility of a shorter blade except for some specific tasks like opening boxes. Have you ever sliced a piece of cheese with your Dragonfly? I doubt it, too short.
@grizzlycountry10304 жыл бұрын
I love the green, but is it worth a steel that's harder to sharpen??? 🤔 Very informative review and well worth watching.
@adkfuller81634 жыл бұрын
The steel is awesome. I've had this knife for a couple of months, use it every day all day in a warehouse. only had to sharpen it once. The blade is so small it sharpens quick and easy...Tough little workhorse

I dream that one day Spyderco will make a larger Dragonfly3? that would be between the size of the Dragonfly2 and up to the size of the Delica 4 or the same size as the Delica with upgraded blade steel options other than VG 10. Am I wrong or it that dream messing with perfection????
@houseofwisdom35795 жыл бұрын
Great idea. The dragonfly does come with upgraded steels. Mine has ZDP 189.

Great video ... It sounds like you're a Doctor ? The Dragonfly is my favorite knife ... I have it in H1 because I live on the west coast of Florida ... The zdp189 is a great steel but not real friendly to the salt air and humidity down here ...

I never understood the craze for Spyderco's knife profiles. The dragonfly I like somewhat, but many of the others are simply not appealing to me...
