My drunken definitely does not have those holes. Looks like a failed carbon layering resulting in air bubbles which turned into holes when milled. That's unfortunate. I would definitely return that knife. Mine is flawless on the carbon side.

I got a new 0456 for less than 200 dollars about a year ago. I love it.

The problem with the clip is that it's poorly placed so the pocket snags in the lockbar cutout and it is also too tight so it tears up pockets. And no, the holes are not a normal thing for this knife. That's a defect that slipped through QC.

I have the ZT 0470 also a Sinkevich design. Has some milling on the titanium and a little marbled cf with 20cv steel , paid $200 about half of the Drunken and it's made in the US !

did not see the corner guy this time :( also, this show is at the other, smaller building. Brad has lots of good stuff and there was at least one other table with a bunch of Artisans

I was there too:) didn't see you guys though but I left kinda early. I added a few Kershaws to my collection along with a few bestech a couple of zts and a spyderco para 3 along with some gun stuff. It was a expensive day lol. I figured since I cant go to blade show I better make it up at the 1500 lol

Give me the Spidie Chief in LC200N over the pair. Nice belly on the blade, great ergonomics, easy to clean, holds an edge and no rust... Wicked thin behind the edge by a mile the best slicer in my collection. Daily driver for over 6 months and still rocking the factory edge. Thanks for the video 😎👍

It's official. Every knife drifting toward the higher end in terms of quality, handle ergonomics, shape, size and price is looking more and more like a Kershaw Tilt. Without actually being a Kershaw Tilt..

The little holes are probably tear out from milling, it's like a giant machine milling a napkin

My drunken has an absolutely perfect carbon fiber side. No holes. I have no idea how carbon fiber is made but they almost look like they were made by bubbles.

Thanks for the video. I like this knife. It's like having a zero tolerance knife made by spyderco. That probably sounds like a sarcastic remark, but it truly isn't. The drunken is a good addition that freshens up the line up a bit. Thanks for the comparison. ❤️

Bought my 0456 after watching both 0456 videos from you guys last year. Got the Drunken for a very good deal and have been breaking it in for a week or so. While the Drunken is more refined, The action and overall build quality of the ZT is superior in every way, IMO. The flipping action on the ZT is the standard by which knives in this class or even higher priced, should be measured.

The thing about this knife is that even though it cost a lot for Spyderco to make, it doesn't *feel* like a $400 piece. I appreciate everything about it and yet . . .

Voids in the carbon fiber on a $400 knife is a bit of a bummer, but the Drunken is still a nice looking knife. Thanks for the comparison.

Mine does not have those gaps in the carbon fiber, and none of the others I have seen have them either. Strange and unfortunate.

So hey y'all. I will say this. I think y'all need to get with one of the knife makers y'all know and create a knife that is something unique that's really cool. Like bird can create the flicker, and frankie can create the chubbie club with D2. Mid. Priced knives. Serious tho I personally think it would be really cool for y'all to explore that.

I don't think I'd pay the premium price point for the Drunken. Don't get me wrong, I like the knife, but, there are other knives at that price I'd consider first. I'd probably just spring for an after market carbon fiber scale for the 456. Check out Aramis Akhmedov, he does really awesome work. I recently got in his carbon fiber scales, and carbon fiber pocket clip, for my para 3. They're perfect.

IDK Spyderco just aren't worth it imho I've been selling them off lately keeping my chaparral because I actually like it and my pm2 s110v because I don't care if I ruin it, they're just all so similar aside from the recent collaborations which are much nicer but not at the asking price points, not a spyderco fanboy at all, the ZT0456 is much better in my humble opinion, I recently started collecting crk ect and now find certain brands inferior but love my ZT's Benchmades Hogues even Cold steel better than spyderco but each to there own, I actually use my knives harder than most and the specific models of certain brands work others not so much. great vids as always ;) thanks

I knew this video imo this knife is just overpriced poor QC I have seen in some of them and everyone I know that kept it got a different clip. Thanks for showing the flaws of the knife and being honest about it great video like always.
