The Stretch 2 with the K390 blade is the knife I probably tested the longest. I dropped the edge angle progressively down to 12-13 dps and used it to cut thru dry acacia with knots. no damage to the edge. I did a lot of twisting in the cut and no damage to edge or grind. In hand, for my hand, i feel it more comfortable than the PM2. The way the belly drops more and the hand position due to the handle shape make it much better for cutting hard materials than the PM2 is even if you regrind the PM2's blade to match the thickness of the K390 Stretch. I never had any issue with stuff getting stuck in the backlock. I did like hearing your opinions. And I have not tried the Endela yet. I enjoyed the video

Thank you! The Stretch 2 is a fantastic design, and I think for a lot of people it is probably a better knife than the PM2. Cutting performance is out of control, and those Seki City contoured handle ergonomics are wonderful. And K390 is a better steel than almost anything else out there, all considered. Definitely give the Endela a shot if you like the Stretch 2. Ergonomics are nearly as good, blade cuts just as well, gives you a ton of knife in a small package. Noted issue with stuff getting stuck in the back lock is only, unfortunately, from experience. One of the little scars on my right thumb is from a Spyderco backlock closing on me and taking a its centimeter of flesh. Hasn't been a problem since I learned to look for it, but took me off guard for sure.

It's all about the K390 blade, get whatever knife has it. Right now, the PM 2 is not around in that steel but is around in Magnacut, so that's also a good choice in steel. Spyderco has become my favorite knife company because they care more about what steel is in the blade than other brands. K390 is selling out fast folks, get one while you still can. Blades that are sharp and stay sharp are my favorites, I don't think the knives in this video have enough difference between them to worry about, just get one in K390 and you'll be glad you did.

Love the stretch line of knives. I just picked up the XL I’m g10 crewear. So glad I did. It’s so slicey and thin.

I love my Stretch 2 in K390, I like it better than the Endela because of the forward finger choil. I don't have an issue with holding on to it. I reach for it every day and I have over 60 Spyderco Knives in my collection.

Blue works! But they use a blue-er blue for their Spy27 series. Turquoise and aquamarine just didn't sound right either...

had mine reground.....thinner.....had mine DLC'd......mine is mind blowing....great....I prefer lightweight knives....phone..keys.....coins....items....all add up....weight...NO I do not want any heavy knives....had many already....they got heavier as time went by.....I am not one that needs or wants a heavy folder....I want a folder that rarely gets dull and cuts like a demon.....the stretch 2 in k390 with my mods....I would put up against any knife made.....and I have had more than almost anyone ....

I got a Stretch, it's the worst Spyderco knife I've ever bought, just about everything that could be wrong, WAS wrong,, I tried several attempts to put it right, before finally giving up, it found a watery grave in my local river,,, a total POS,, I'd advise everyone to avoid this knife,, My example was absolute rubbish,,

That's a bummer. I had a better experience with mine, but it sucks when execution issues ruin a knife. Just wasn't the knife for you.
