I don't blame Prosafia for taking hits on Gulp, he's a tough one. I had a hard time on him when I faced him in Reignighted 💀

Personally, I think that Gulp isn't as tough to best as Ripto, rather you're talking doing the fight normally or going for the no damage skill point. Most of Gulp's attacks are pretty easy to dodge -- the only one that's really much of a threat is the attack he gets after eating a bomb (which wasn't shown in this video), as it makes a ring of fire balls come out all around him, and you can't jump over them, so you either have to be far enough away to get between them easier or hit him before they come out if you notice he ate a bomb. His other attacks are all pretty simple to avoid: the rocket he spits at you will blow up on it's own after a long enough time (or you can redirect it into Gulp like in this video), the wave he shoots after eating a metal barrel can be jumped over easily enough, his body slam can be outran by just charging (though it can sometimes get you if you stop to try to attack him), and as for the cannon shots, he'll fire 2, 4, or 6 of them depending on how much health he has left; he doesn't actually get more accurate with them as the fight goes on, it can just feel like it because you have to avoid more of them, but they should rarely catch you if you keep moving. Ripto, on the other hand, is tougher, but that's mainly because you have to fight him over 3 phases that each gave their own health bars, which tends to make it a long, drawn-out fight that will get you if you let him. Phase 1 has the hardest to dodge attack if his last orb is green, and it tends to get me more often than not; the other 2 attacks he gets with a blue or red orb are easier to avoid by outrunning him or jumping over it, respectively. The second phase, Robo-Gulp, is the easiest one, mostly because you have a much bigger and slower moving target. His blue attack is the hardest one to dodge this phase, but since you can see where they will come down, it's not as hard to avoid as the phase 1 green orb attack. The green orb attack for phase 2 can be jumped over pretty easily, and the red orb attack can be redirected into him. Phase 3 is usually the phase that kills me, if any of them do: it's not as complicated as the first 2 phases, since you're not gathering orbs to use this time, but between the lava that keeps you from getting too close to the ground safely, the fact that Ripto himself is your target -- and a hard one to hit at that, and that his shots he fires can hit you if you get too greedy firing off superflame blasts due to the way they curve, and this phase is trickier than it seems. Because of all these factors, I personally find Ripto to be an overall much harder fight than Gulp, of whom is actually rather simple by comparison once you learn how he acts

The chances aren't that rare, but he doesn't usually seem to prioritize going for eating a weapon to try to use it against you, from what I can tell

I agree -- a lot of people seem to be under the impression that Gulp is tougher for some reason, but I've always had a harder time with Ripto, regardless rather it's doing the fight no damage or battling them normally

​@jesaea From what I've seen, Gnasty Gnorc isn't actually a real boss battle: you just chase him down until the end of the level and flame him to beat him. But Ripto, on the other hand, actually puts up a fight, and can give you quite a run for your money if you don't know how to beat him; but at least his boss fight is a test of skill rather than a glorified final level
