Ah, the memories are coming back to me. I had so much fun with this game. This was the very first video game I ever played when I was 5 years old and It was a blast exploring new worlds, fighting different enemies...dying and falling into pits a million times. It was all just amazing. Some of you may think this game was simple and repetitive, but imagine being a 5 year old who's never played a video game before and tell me these boss battles wouldn't seem epic. This game holds sentimental value in my heart and I hope I never forget this one game that opened the door for this one person towards becoming a gamer. Spyro A Hero's Tail was awesome.

Before the redesigns for reignited, Red was one of the only dragons that looked kind of like that in this series that I was super endeared to.

To be honest, I think Red is the best villian in the Spyro series. Ripto wasn't that intimidating, Dark Master was just one dimensional, and Kaos is just WTF for me. Eventhough Red only appeared in two games, at least they fleshed out his backstory and explained how he became evil. Also he kinda reminds me of Bowser for some reason

Man I loved Spyro 3 and this game, I always looked forward to the bosses since they were always so fun to fight.

I know that this was made for kids and thus a bit on the easy side but I swear that Red is the only boss that isn't disappointing. Although even he could be cheesed with wing shield spam. I also like that Red is the only one that doesn't say he was defeated three times like the others.

Spyro A Hero's Tail deserves a remastered version of it too it's one of my favorites and I like the boss fights and locations I like that we no longer have to use the portals too.

Ah yes, the last classic spyro game before the big change in developer's. Right up there with Crash Twinsanity. Only complaint, Spyro sounds drunk in this one. C'mon sony we need an HD remake of the first two!!!

A Heroes Tail is criminally underrated. While it just Enter The Dragonfly but with an actual coat of paint, plus an extra layer and then one more just to be safe, it did take a lot of elements from the original trilogy as well as invented some new ones. Was in Gateway To Glimmer? No. But after hooking my PS2 up and replaying the game, finally getting to the Icy Wildernesses after all these years... It might be my second favourite of the series.

14:12-19:22 looking at the Red boss fight i didn't know using the flame breath attack can stop the shooting ice attacks he fires, I always use the wing sheild to defend (holding the triangle button) and the time boxes i did not know using the water breath pushes it furthur. And 17:18-17:28 you can actually use the wing sheild to defend that staff ice attack he uses to turn around and freeze u, u actually take 0/no damage from it.

I love how the bosses sit there and do nothing while you kill them.

When I was 7, seeing Red turning like that into a Mecha, wow ! I was speechless and maybe scared because, you know, Red is a Dragon made of flesh and blood and *lightnings* he becomes a Dragon made of metal and stuff. If not scary to you, you should at least have been impressed.

Bosses within each of the 5 games Spyro 1- Could've just walked right past them. Spyro 2- Only 3 bosses? (sees mini-bosses) Thank goodness for THEM. Spyro 3- Nicely done. Spyro 4- Only ONE Boss!? WTH (H as in heck), UNIVERSAL!? Spyro 5- Ah, that's more like it. 4 bosses are JUST enough for me to enjoy it.

Wow, the voice acting and character motion design in this game (at least in the boss fights) is awful. I mean, in the first game, Gnasty, being a huge gnome orc hybrid, had a really deep voice. In this game, he sounds like a congested insane gnome. And Spyro sounds exhausted. These battles also look very long and repetitive.

Honestly I think this game was fun, tho I will say the bosses were kind of lackluster. 1) I don't like the fact that you fight Red in two worlds, I rather much perfored if that giant mammoth was a boss fight of the third world. 2) The final boss was a bit of a let down having to wait until Red returns to normal and use some weird objects is just plane stupid.

Man, I am dying to know what capture card you're using. I'm doing a playthrough of this game on my channel and, although it looks alright in 720p60, the res I upload my capture card recorded videos in (my PC recorded videos are in 1080p), it doesn't look as good as this, and because it's recorded on a PS2 it can't be HDMI (right?) so it should work with my GameCube, even if I need to buy an adapter.
