Trouble with the Tree Tops, eh?

the creativity in this game, from the sound effects, the music, to the visuals and level design, blows me away

Tree Tops serves to be one level that shows just what set Spyro the Dragon apart from many other platformers of the day, and probably still does with modern platformers. An end goal is in sight, but there is more than one way to get there and it rewards your curiosity for exploring every available path.

This was hands down the most frustrating level as a child. Now I beat it in one sitting, could NOT believe how simple it was ahaha

I love how Jed is like "look out we got a bad ass over here" at the end of his rescue.

I love the shrug from Jed, it made me realize I couldn’t be so angry at this level anymore lmao m 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tree Tops was one of the most hardest levels I ever played in Spyro.

This level is really fun once you know how to get to that damn island.

Spyro:Yeah. Well you could have found an easier spot to get stuck. Even though he was rude saying that I agree what he said was correct. The only way I could reach Jed was following the green thief.

I was playing this level last night. It took me over an hour to figure out how to get to that island with the dragon.

Ah, the one level from Beast Makers that I actually adored. Probably because it's miles above that disgusting swamp water and has a pretty moonlight aesthetic.

My favorite Spyro game. I loved all the secrets and things to find.

Spyro my first dragon game ever, and I loved the little dragon, always also played at dark days, rain and storms.

I had to play the game and watch this video at the same time just to get it right! Synchronizing your video with my game play was very helpful and kinda frustrating when I kept messing up! 😅

I truly admire the folks that can speed run this level. I cannot even begin to keep track of how many lives I've burned through (thanks 99 life cheat) just trying to get Jed. If I wasn't determined, I would just say fuck Jed.

This is one of the levels I’m least looking forward to in the Reignited Trilogy cause you know it’s gonna be WAY harder

this is what i loved about old games like spyro and crash, they had secrets and mysteries with challenges you had to work at to complete games nowadays are to easyyyy

how do you control spyro so accurately? when I try its like hes pissed

this is the one godamn level i never completly finnished and therefore never was able to see gnastys loot so thanx for uploading it all to youtube so i now im able to see it about 8 years later.

It took me forever to work out the combinations for the supercharges. I was sure that the way to get to that last platform was to chain all four supercharge ramps. Down the first two like you do at 1:05, then take a hard right, land on the ramp over there, build up speed and make it over the posts at the top end of the fourth ramp at 6:24. It didn't work very well. I DID make it over the posts one time, but I was so surprised that I ended up running into the cave and hitting the wall. I always try to do things the hard way!

I know in the remake they made the enimries of this level apes, but are they meant to be that here? They kinda look like humans or maybe trolls of some sort

My sister got me this for Christmas though we did have a copy when I was younger we lost the disc, I'm going to accomplish getting 100% in this game and this level I could not do because of the red and green guys, I tried doing the charges last night but they weren't good, but this shows where I've been wrong and next time I play it I'll use this and hopefully I can do it, thank you :D been using some of your videos as help so I'm grateful

This level took me 3 years to beat as a kid back when you couldn’t look up how to beat a level on KZfaq

@Rougeberryblush I use an official PS3 controller when emulating games, so it felt exactly like I was playing PS1.

It's been over 10 years since I played this game and I'm replaying it again on my PS1. @1:04 This part is annoying! I remember getting up to that one spot where the red creature is before [3 years before KZfaq], but, I'm struggling on this right now. Lol 😂

I used to enjoy watching the thieves run away and run down the superchargers jump around and run off. They were so funny doing that in this level

The theme is fast tempo version of High Caves and there are same instruments heard as in High Caves such as a percussion and banjos.

I like the Dragon Shores and Agent Zero's challenge in Spyro 2.

took me over 5 years to figure out where Jed was, and then 2 weeks to get to him... Now I'm replaying to see how fast I can 120% it.. I hate this level so much..

It's my first playthrough of spyro just a while ago. I gave up figuring out how to go to that damn island and searched youtube for help. haha

That really hard part where Jed is took me weeks to figures out when I first got this game. Playstation had this free club you could join and they would send you promo stuff and demo games. In one of the packages there was a disc that showed you how to master that one part. And it still took me weeks to get it

Activision would be fucking rich if they were to resell this game exactly as it is, but compatible for a PS3. People LOVE this game, few games have even come close to the popularity and quality of Spyro the Dragon.
