The thing about the machines guns was that it was really fucking funny The game goes to great lengths to establish this magical/fantasy kid game vibe and the next thing youre fighting bearded stereotype commando guys with guns but to each their own i guess, whichever game you play first is going to be your default, and anything else will seem off

People complain about the LMGs and ARs but think about it. The Gnorcs are weaponizing the chemical residue from the industrial plants. Meaning they are using corrosive chemical weapons.

It just looked like part of the map, lmao. I kept trying to jump straight onto the cauldron looking thing. This is literally the only instance of manipulating the map in the entire game, isn't it?

@@drnanard9605 How about artillery cannons, bomb-chests, guiding missiles etc? Also remember Zephyr from Spyro 2? This change was like a shaving Hitler's mustaches in german version Wolfenstein New Colossus. In this "game about cartoon dragons" almost all bosses are dying from burning alive in lava. But probably all of this was done because of conflict with censors, yeah. What the hell are we talking about, when in Doom Eternal's interview this guy corrected "Cartoonish violence!" when journalist or somebody said "violence" in interview :)

@@nomakhthunder3754 you're kinda proving my point, they didn't "censor" anything else, there are still missiles and such. Therefore, this is not a censorship issue, but a stylistic one. You may find it strange or even dumb (I personally don't care), but you can't say it's censorship. I would also argue the explosives are still kinda cartoony. I mean, it's Road Runner's level of bombs and missiles, not World War II artillery lmao. "Guns" on the other hand don't really come out as cartoony. Again, if it was censorship, they would have censored everything. In Wolfenstein, they censored Nazi iconography too, and even spoken words, so that's not the same deal. You couldn't argue that it's a stylistic choice either, since the fact that the enemy are Nazis is hugely important for the narrative. Don't get me wrong, there are hundreds of dumb censorships out there, Wolfenstein is one of the weirdest example, but I could point towards the first South Park game too, or many Japanese games that get censored in the West for dumb reasons. I just don't think this is the case with Spyro.

@@drnanard9605 Do you know story about Soviet movie "Brilliant hand"? It was censored because of only scene where protagonist was drinking alcohol. But director somehow solved this problem. He was gonna to add nuke-explosion at the movie's ending and censorships allowed him to leave alcohol scene because of this ultimatum. Maybe Spyro censors were gonna ban some other stuff, but devs have found a compromiss? Like "We'll correct this, that and that, but this still stay here." Knowing modern censorship they could replace bomb-chests with cake-chests, candles on fire - then big cartoon boom and did some other stupid things.

There’s a cheat code to get 99 lives it doesn’t effect achievements either, just google it

For 100% completion. And there's a story reason why there are duplicate dragons in Gnasty's world.

it's a mechanic that's introduced late in the game. you would never know to do that unless you were actively thinking "i need to get this ramp to go up"

I figured it out because I actually listened to the dragon in Gnorc Gnexus this time lol. You have to use the exit warp thing within the actual level of Gnore Cove. You can't just exit the level when you have all the dragons freed and gems collected like most people would. Hope I helped.
