Still remember early days when me and my old clan walked around with a couple of devs on a server and they were showing us things like bullets hitting water barrels etc getting excited about small details and the future of the gamd.....and now we are here. Love this game!

Still needs to fix some mechanics. My mind is 5 moves ahead and if the game fucks up, like having to stop double tap space to get over a object that should be a one tap, for example, it gets me killed, not for a lack of skill but a lack of better programming.

If they could only fix the damn lag for helis, I'd return to squad. I stopped playing Squad since V21 because the heli lags so badly! They fixed it with V20 but then ruined it with V21! :(

My favorite memory from PR is with the MG3. The map was Muttrah, and we as the MEC had pushed back the Marine assault nearly all the way into the sea. There was a large cargo ship in port, and myself and another machinegunner climbed our way to the very top of the superstructure and had a perfect angle on the docks where the Marines were making their last attempt of a counterattack. Helicopter after helicopter landed, infantry squad after infantry squad tried to cross the expanses of the docks, but they were cut down by our MG3s, pouring tracers from the bridge of that ship. I am so happy we're getting the MG3 in Squad. Can't wait!

Unfortunately Squad has even more Blufor bias than PR - M4 burst is interruptible without downside *and* has no artificially delay between bursts. Also, it seems Squad has way more recoil on MG3...etc.

@@Gerwulf97 Squad got it wrong too. If you haven't heard, Stoner burst counter doesn't reset when you let go of trigger(unlike H&K burst) so if you click once in burst mode, next "burst" only shoots two rounds. Or you interrupt burst at two rounds and the next burst(which you wanted to be 3 round burst) is just one shot. This has *always* been wrong in Squad. This is the real reason U.S. military kept teaching newbies to *not* use burst - because people can forget where they interrupted the burst and click out an amount of rounds unintended.

I do wish that the MG3 and NSV technicals could do 360 degree aiming. Otherwise, those look a lot more powerful than existing open top technicals, thanks to their high ROF weapons. I am glad that the ZF1 can be ranged because I hate having to guess were shots are landing with the 1P29 and SUSAT optic. I do wish we could see the AKM, as that is still heavily used by the Iranian Army(which the MEA seems to be based on) alongside the G3. It would also be cool to see the MPT-9(Iranian MP5 with straight magazines, like that seen in Insurgency Sandstorm) for Crewman Kits. Also can the MG3 be ranged?

"T-72 with reactive armor", well russian T-72B3 also has reactive armor, it's turret is covered with reactive armor as well as hull frontal plate (hull ones are covered by thin steel plate, they are harder to notice, but you can see bolts that hold ERA on the frontal plate). T-72AV uses contact-1 (small blocks, effective agains heat, useless against APFSDS) , T-72B3 uses contact-5 (larger blocks, effective against heat, lowers incoming APFSDS penetration).

Apparently Relikt bricks were used to replace Kontakt-5 on newest T-72B3.(despite outer casing looking the same, since individual bricks are of same size) Not that OWI will let RUS have obr.2016.

@@EcchiRevenge Nope, T-72B3M still uses Kontakt-5. It has additional 4C23 on the backside of the turret and 4C24 on the sideskirts. Relikt is installed only on T-80BVM and T-90M.

@@RamaOneShot Not at all. The side mount looks like that of T-90MS because that has *better coverage* not because that's the only container that Relikt fits in. Tell me, did you think the actual ERA blocks are shaped exactly as outer shell lines suggested? As far as I can tell Relikt is of same general dimension as Kontakt-5 but it has two moving plates instead of one. T-90MS's upper frontal hull arrangement just angles it more effectively and provides better coverage(more blocks covering where towhook used to be on UFP, while towhook was moved onto LFP). So while it's not as optimally angled/covered, it's still Relikt. Otherwise, do you think Russians are retarded, upgrading all the fancy optics, engine, and even side armor but neglecting the frontal armor?

Would have loved to see the scorpion in game for them (especially with the scimitar already confirmed) The rocket scout car is cool. The basis is off of a field improvised version the Russians made in the 80's in Afghanistan. No ranging marks I can see like the techie version so it's not going to be useful as arty. Also I think they need an mp5. The G3 is a beast of a gun to handle and is going to make close range engagement very one sided

The 4x scope really isn't a sniper scope. It's a marksman scope or a combat optic. I was a marksman and my service rifle was the Swedish AK4 with the Hensoldt Fero Z24, the same on they added to the G3. It's a pretty good optic for being from the old ass age.

Check out the AG3F2. A upgraded version of the already superior AG3 licenced from HK with a buttstock that is approx. 2 cm longer, the bolt carrier has a serrated thumb groove to aid in silent bolt closure if jamming, it features an all-metal cocking handle and a different bayonet mount and has a 10-20% higher fire rate than production HK G3.

I think they should look into the reload. The operational standard is changing mag, pulling the charging handle to the rear and release. Atleast it is what I remember from my limited use of the (A)G3. Would be fun if the two methods came at random.

The mea is just saudi arabia with russian vehicules. Most middle eastern countries are equipped with mostly either western or russian weaponry cause you can't have strong military ties with 2 rival blocks at once.

I think the idea for the MEA is that they have good infantry and less than good armor, so i dont agree that the bmp1 and bmp2 layers that you said should be changed, especially cuz they have the really good rpg 29.

It would be interesting if squad devs were to update the MEA BMP1 to be the upgraded BMP-1P version which has a Konkurs or Spigot launcher instead of a Malyutka, and an improved main gun loading speed.

Interesting to see that MEA have different tank rounds than russian's T-72. I'm wondering if the AP will deal less damage or it gonna share Konkurs fate where it was buffed up to TOW/Kornet stats

it'll probably deal the same amount of damage because the T-62 AP round does the same exact damage as every other APFSDS round in Squad even though it''s supposed to be APDS
