nah I think they just got lucky with the ZBD players not having figured out the new TOW rework or even just getting unlucky now that the TOWs can go anywhere. However the ztz and zbd did throw a little

I actually chose to stop casting many of the tournaments despite being asked due to the players involved. Top team leads were game banned due to their toxicity and the leader of the top team at the time was fired from OWI due to racist and antisemitic comments. I chose to divest myself from that and now am trying to create a much more professional experience.

Elevation prevents the Chinese armor column to hit the Abrams. Full reverse and casually dodges atgm, driver gets close to the ZBL to dodge second atgm, gunner correctly engages most dangerous threat, ZTZ backs off, Chad Abrams pushes to kill a ZBD, dodges third atgm while fighting the tank, gets tracked and engined, kills the ZTZ, *Dies to an airstrike* 1 in a million tank fight

Thank you for the breakdown! This is really cool to see. Honestly I was just reacting instinctively towards what was going on, there wasn't much planning in my mind. After beaning the ZBD I should of backed fully up and went into that pocket with the IFV to kill it first, but maybe we would have lost to the ZTZ. I swear the comments have just been one ego boost 😂

Moi, please consider using any of the already available tournament mods to allow you to click to jump to players. The scrolling interface is very akward and a lot of plays are missed while you look for the player's names. Killfeeds and picture in picture player POVs are also included and would be great for the audience to follow along with out of view plays.

I hope this turns into a live final event. The commander gets a war room to play from, armor units get a fake armor tank, everyone else is separated into units. Dolby surround sound for the audience. MoiDawg on the mic commentating! That will likely never happen, but its fun to think about lol

Hey @Moidawg , what if u got each team to have a PAO (public affairs officer) that u can randomly pull into a discord during a match and do like a 1 min interview on thoughts, goals etc or their side and what theyre thinking, kinda like inbetweem each quarter in football or hell even inbetween periods like the NHL, thoughts?

There is absolutely a way. Other tournaments have really nice mods for casters to have on screen cap status at all times. They even have kill feeds on screen so you can see exactly who is killing who. Would be nice to see some collaboration with those tournament mod creators next season.

I have a pretty dumb suggestion, sometimes in esports, channels will upload an empty video of game 3, even if there isnt a game 3, so as to not spoil the victory of defeat on game 2. Ergo my suggestion is to upload Game 1 again as Game 3, so as to make the video longer, and essentially not spoiling the victor by the end of game 1.

It is near a point, Radio Tower. Don't forget that Moi is the only one that can see all the points from the start, they only have a rough idea of the layer by that time, but radio station a classic mid cap.

@@OPDaymo I hope to see some different maps for the next round. Like Kohat or Lashkar Valley…. Or a good urban map - but an urban map is super risky. Larger maps come down to team wide tactics for the most part with individual gunplay playing a secondary role; whereas in urban ops, the reverse is true. Maybe not all the time that formula is true, but like 90% of the time lol

With higher level play surrendering makes no sense, the game is not lost until the last ticket. Plus every single tournament before this one has operated with a ticket differential system with two rounds on the same layer and side swapping.

you should really get rid of all the useless pings/markers on the map when opening it because seeing red and blue markers where the opposite team is or any kind of arrows, etc only makes things so much more confusing than it has any right to be. as the caster and as the spectators we have no business seeing all the clutter from both teams

There are very rare instances where it is worth it to build anything in this game honestly. It’s fun for immersive larping but in a competitive setting, it’s usually pretty useless.

ASS RASS is a symmetrical game mode and easier to balance. Personally, I like invasion too, but the scoring system would have to be different - perhaps 2 rounds and the winner who does best in attack. It’s a risky decision though because no one has done it this way.

Tournaments/scrims are never done with RAAS only AAS because you can't make RAAS fair.

Invasion is a coin toss, either the attackers can take the first point or they can't. Makes no sense in comp.

Statistically, defenders on Invasion win 80-90% of the time. it'd just not be balanced nor fun to watch, especially in this format where the ticket diffs dont matter, only the win.

SquadOps had some of the worst armor crews i have ever seen. I feel bad for their infantry because they had almost zero support in both fights. SquadOps armoe would have been completely routed in the second map if not for some luck, not skill

I wish this game was more noob frienly i hate how its so hard to spwn on objective or team and only assigned mech units ruins these games make squad more like hll and it will be more popular for sure every time i play im struck by how slow amd boring it is with the lack of spawning and getting into action quickly. The ttk in these games is also atrocious!

but how could you make it more noob friendly. Sorry but the premise of the game is that it is NOT for noobs. There are spawn waves every 1 min and games go 2 hours. If you wanna play HLL then play that. OWI made both different for obvious reasons.

Absolutely not. I enjoy the pace and the teamwork. Matter of fact, the pace is too fast for me and I would like it to be slowed down even more to reward proper tactics and teamwork instead of thoughtless pushes.
