Pierre could you make it easier for Canadian born people to get into trades? There are many able people who would want to join the trades but cannot because they can't afford to so instead our current government uses our money to pay for programs to import workers instead of investing in Canadians who could pick up a trade, build businesses and pass knowledge on to their family and communities.

27 years ago a visit to Squamish for my friends 50th Birthday was a high light . He was the Mill manager at the time of this Pulp mill. He would be happy to see the sight is being restored back to nature and going to be LNG PORT . GOOD LUCK TO THE SQUAMISH PEOPLE!

The constant attack on JT gets old, boring and almost counter productive to your goals. We get it, JT is garbage! You still got many months before anywhere near an election (I hope sooner!), you're in the long stretch! Content like this, with no direct jab, no podium or direct affiliation to a party (although we know), is exactly what I want to see. Show me how great this country can be, outside of politics and attach yourself to that!

I was hired by the supplier of the gas for this plant in 2012 because this plant was going to be built. I waited 6 years and gave up when the NDP was elected and said the were going to review the project again. This project was first started in 2008 and hit nothing but road blocks and endless reviews. The site it is going into was a pulp mill from the turn of the last century built in 1905. That site and the Howe Sound were heavily contaminated with mercury and other chemicals from the early pulp process. To give you an idea of how bad things are in Canada for these projects Chevron proposed a LNG plant for Western Australia in 2013 that was bigger and it was on line in 2016 and shipping LNG to the world. Canada is missing the boat with the delays that this present government has been forcing companies to bear. Not any world companies want to invest money in Canada anymore. Pierre is the right choice.

Hey Mr. Poilievre! So happy for the Squamish people and wish them much success for the future. What he said about not being able to get jobs in "white" industry, reminds of the '90's in Hamilton when I couldn't get a part time job while all my white friends all did. (Some even, questioned if I was lazy and didn't want a job.) A Hamilton Spectator investigative article came out not long after stating that it was six(!) times harder for visible minorities in Hamilton to get a job in Hamilton than white people. Just sayin'.

And the Squamish council is delaying this project by not giving the temporary use permit to allow the floatel to house up to 650 workers.

The many First Nations peoples are very resourceful & kind people. I wish more Whites like me would read all the books they can written by First Nations to learn who & what they are about. The Haida are awesome guardians for nature, all our relations - as is said at the end of every prayer! I’ve worked beside the Gitxsan, east of Smithers Wet’suwet’en, Lake-Babine Carrier Nation, NnuChahNulth Nations! That was a real education & cultural immersion that taught me these people often have bigger hearts & act to show caring & compassion!
