The super C10 is almost finished! Finally got most of the bugs worked out! If y’all missed it this is our recently acquired 1983 C10 single cab long bed, lowered and cammed! I gave up on the junk 600cfm weird Holley 4 barrel and went back to the trusty 500cfm Holley 2 barrel that I bought used. Seems to work a lot better after some tuning, a little more driving and adjusting and we should have her dialed in! I’ll probably stick an oil pump in the Mr Goodwrench 350ci crate motor when it’s dude for another oil change. I’m not happy with 10-15 psi hot oil pressure, that’s kinda low. But it’s really turned out to be a good truck! The truck is lowered with a rear axle flip, and no c notch. The front is lowering springs and shocks but it’s super low and close to bottoming out. I’ve got the stock springs and I might order some 3-4” drop spindles and throw the stock springs back on. I think it will ride better with the stock front suspension geometry and some regular shocks. We were finally able to get the killer slotted mags swapped over to the truck and I think it really changed the look of the truck! We also replaced the blower motor and the heater core which was a job pulling the air box out from under the dash. Got all the dash lights working and a new pair of headlights. I love the long bed, makes hauling stuff so much easier, I think this is the ultimate shop truck!
