Weird commentators do these kinds of things to seem interesting. They also pronounce squash as Sqwaysh now they think they’re onto something

@@PeterP.-xx5wi relax mate - no one is getting offended on 'their behalf' - it's just in poor taste in general & if THIS is what is needed to 'spice' up the commentary, then either the commentary is subpar, or the sport just ain't warranting better narration (both of those situations don't look great though, so pick your reasoning accordingly 😊) and not that it makes a difference to the argument being made here, but where did all the PSA players mention that they're 'OK' with this practice?

First n foremost, I didn't say anything about the quality of the commentary, if you don't believe it, then please re read the original comment to which you're replying 😊 Secondly, if taste is subjective, then why does everyone have to be subjected to yours? I never said his commentary was better or lesser than anyone else's - I have my favourite squash commentators, but I didn't bring them in to this trivial, eventually non consequential KZfaq comments debate 😊 the comment was made on the pronunciation of players' names - nothing about his or any other's commentator's sense of humour or any other sound that they may produce was even brought in to question - why? because names mean something, they carry inherent respect. If I were to meet you in person and deliberately mispronounce your name repeatedly, you wouldn't take me to be a respectful person & that my friend, is the kind'a behaviour that does not belong in a personal or professional setting. Even if we were mates who have a funny way of calling out to each other, we'd still be mindful of people outside of our close-knit group, who would no doubt be already in on the joke, whereas here, it's being broadcast to any and all - which does not come off as respectful Oh & I do have experience commentating, but also feel that one needn't have any experience in something to have an informed opinion on it - if that were the case, then no one would ever be able to criticise or point out anything that they haven't themselves taken part in (government workings come to mind immediately, oooh, that thought alone, yikes) also, by virtue of the same argument, why are you expressing your opinion on this topic so graciously? wouldn't the same yard-stick apply to you? also, asking people you are arguing with (in bad faith as well, by attributing to them points & claims they never made) to 'shut up' won't lead you on to the right path my friend 😊 (and also won't win you any arguments in the process, as a good argument is supposed to provoke thought, not choke it) Please enjoy the commentary, the quality and entertainment value of which I never spoke about, as you're fully entitled to - may it continue to bring you such passionate joy, that you lose your line of thought and ability of argue rationally, as you're fully entitled to all of that as well 👍🏼 I in the meantime, will continue to find it in poor taste to deliberately mispronounce someone's name (again, take a nuanced moment to notice that I am not picking up on any accentual issues here, as those can be overlooked always, but the term used here is 'deliberately') hope the rest of your day goes anger-free - GodSpeed 👍🏼
