It is unbelievable to me that this is actually a thing. What the hell is keeping anyone from squatting anywhere forever? As a senior it’s good to know that I can just take over somebody else’s place and live in luxury! Sweet! I’m selling my place asap!

Cities should have Homeowners file Rental contracts with the city, for proof and verification of actual tenants and rental terms. This way, all local authority departments, would have a source of truth to refer back to with the city and "actual rental contract" on file for that property. ✅

I have contacted all my state and local leaders and was requested to put in a anti squatting proposal. I completed my proposal last night and hope to speak before the county council in my area at the end of April. People contact your state and local leaders to get anti squatting legislation changed to favor the legal owners.

It would benefit communities to fund creation of lists (immutable, on blockchain) of who buys up cheap busted-out properties at deep discounts. This woul provide evidence to support theory that deliberate government policies are designed to devalue property, enabling corrupt cronies to buy it up on the cheap.

If you want your own place just buy your own place. You don't have to live in someone else's property if you don't want to. The concept is not that hard. Renters choose to rent and it works for some people. But you don't get to live for free in someone else's property.

That’s what people say when they don’t have a clue what’s involved being a landlord. Everything is more expensive when buying a rental property the insurance is 3xs, interest rates higher, down payment is 20%. Plus other expenses like landscaping, snow removal with salt, garbage and water which the landlord is required to pay depending on the state and property. Landlord makes 400 a month on a house (4800 a year) but has to maintain it and pay income taxes on that money. When the furnace needs to get replaced for 5,000 bucks there goes the entire years rent income. Or someone destroys the house and you win in court but get paid 50 bucks a week that’s taken from their paycheck meanwhile the house needs 30k in repairs before it can be rented again. Yeah landlords shouldn’t complain about anything.
