Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. He has fatbike videos too. In 2015 he was fatbiking from Alaska to Alberta and sleeping in a tent and making videos. He continued fascinating making videos of fatbiking in Western USA. His music choices accompanying his videos are always outstanding. They set the tone of a seeker. This guy has been more than a van dweller with a thrift store crockpot for sure. He has a special story to share..

Foresty doesn't need a lot of space, he's fit and trim - how else would he be able to hike all of those mountains? He spends most of his time outdoors hiking huge mountains, doesn't need a lot of room in his van.

It's also a little bit cringe how he flexes how much bigger his van is... I mean just my bedroom is about 3 times the sizes of his entire van, and I have real kitchen and all, can I flex this on him as well?

It didn't come off as cringe at all to me. More like he was just being honest with how tight the fit was once he saw it IRL. He explains the micro camping concept later in the video. He speaks about him with admiration - nothing cringey at all. Super real, super honest.

You assume alot. Perhaps Foresty was already planning to upgrade his van? I cannot believe you used the term "bullying" to describe that exchange. That is really over the top. He expressed his opinion in an honest way and said a lot of admirable things about Foresty - yet to you he was "bullying". Wow. I wonder if Foresty perceived it that way??

@@WhatsUpWithSheila Thank you for that!! I think I would find it a challenge to live in Chromes space and would find living in a car impossible! After being made homeless I was living in a motorhome until just before the first UK lockdown when it was attacked when I was inside it. I am in a flat now as that massively impacted my mental health as I live with ptsd. I hope I can go back to living in my motorhome as I was just getting used to it.

This is a perfect example of how each VanLifer personalizes their home. You point out how different the two of you are and how you each live differently even tho you both live in vans. I think the same is true of non VanLifers. We aren’t the same either. Foresty has 209 thousand subscribers and he just gained another in me.

Let's be honest - Foresty's minivan is not roomy with the way he's built it out (compared to other options). To his credit, Forestry maximized every single interior inch of space. It works for him - For Now. Recently, Forestry's almost retired the minivan the when the cost of repairs was almost too much. Forestry also seems potentially interested in a dog, so who knows what the future holds. He may upgrade to something bigger in the future.

I've been a follower of both your channels for a long time. IMHO, there's another important #VanLife difference between the two of you, that you touched on. Where Vancity Vanlife is centred on and around the van and how to live in a van, Foresty Forest uses his van to visit places and do things. Foresty Forest is using the van as a tool, whereas with this channel, the van is the end goal, and everything else is extra. Neither is better, just different.
