This model of fork saved my life when i crashed into the side of an suv at 30mph on a schwinn gtx 3 without a helmet, I have a permanent back injury but the quality of the springs and housing of this model literally saved my life. If they were not strong enough to allow me to bounce of the side I would not be here making this comment right now. One of the tubes sheared at the stantion but maintained overall integrity. If the fork was any cheaper I'd be crippled or dead. Take that as a stunning endorsement, subbed.

Wow, that's one heck of a battle story. I'm not sure which is more tough, you or the fork!! I'm glad you made it out ok minus the back issues. I've been using this fork for years, and no matter what I do it just keeps working- its like a tank!

Hi. I have this in a 24" version on my son's bike. I took it apart to clean and greas and also as it was stopping half way on the travel. I figured that removing the rubber spacer solved the problem, now it works perfectly and uses all the travel. Do you think removing the rubber spacer above the plastic spacer will cause any problems? Thank you again

im looking to by this fork for my "old" mtb, do you recommend it? my suspension is beyond destroyed and this seemed like a good deal, and i Haven't found many videos on KZfaq about this specific fork

If it's in good shape and you can get it for a good price, I would definitely recommend it. I've ridden mine for years and have probably a few thousand miles on it. I tried to learn how to dirt jump on it, and have been on some pretty rocky trails. It is a tough, basic fork that works well enough. Having said that, I have really only ridden 2 forks on the trails, this M3020 and the SR XCT. Of the two, the M3020 is lighter weight and has faster rebound, whereas the XCT feels much heavier and has a stronger spring and a slower rebound. I prefer the M3020 in general, but I use the XCT on more gnarly trails because its build a little tougher.

Hi, i have the same suspension on my Gt timberline, The problem i m facing is for first 1 in of the fork it moves freely. And after that the fork spring starts to work, i need help how to fix it, and the preload adjuster is also not working

I'm not sure, but if you want this exact model, it most likely will come from the used market and maybe you can bargain for the price. In the USA similar SR Suntour forks can be had for around $100 USD or 7,500 INR. (But keep in mind lots of bicycle part costs are super inflated as of right now)
