SR250 Fork Brace Install

7 жыл бұрынIn this clip, we install the Jadus Yamaha SR250 Fork Brace. We also demonstrate two methods to make the stock front guard fit in combination with the brace, plus show how to install a Jadus aluminium front guard.
The fork brace helps stiffen the front end and improves handling, front end feel and cornering confidence.

hi. this video make me to subscribe your Chanel at start . IAM work on it last week . but I have a dought about you mountings test on off road or jumpy road the Tyre must touch the fender because mountings always on the moving forks so that fender also do up and down according to road conditions . the outer tube of forks has to be hold mounting of the fender bcz that is the moving forks. I hope u get it what IAM trying to say

Hey mate, I think I understand what you are trying to say. If you have a bulky off road tyre up front this will likely not fit. But if it does fit, then it is no problem - because the brace and the guard move with the lower part of the forks - always maintaining the same clearance to the tyre. Does that make sense?

I dont understand why the taillight is pointing to the sky? I see so many bike customisers pointing head and taillights upwards.. doesnt look right. I really do like your channel tho👍 Im looking at a sr250 for my next projects, quite rare though here in the Netherlands.

Hi JH! Generally aftermarket taillights point upwards more than stock ones because they are positioned much closer to the frame and rear wheel - meaning they need to be leant up like this for wheel clearance with the rear wheel movement/suspension travel. Stock tail lights sit much further back on a rear guard and wheel clearance is not an issue, so they can be much more perpendicular to the road ;)

@@JadusMotorcycleParts yeah I see, I usually bend it a bit further so the angle of the license plate stays the same. (Love the look of a rear wheel sticking out on the back!) A number plate is a usefull mudguard aswell😄 Ive been working on several suzuki gn250's, but now I have a yamaha sr250 for a change. Bought the only one that was for sale in the Netherlands 😎 thanks for the vids!

I have a stupid question... When the forks compress, like driving over a bump foes the brace rise and then fall back into position??

Hi Adam, yes it does. The Fork brace is attached to the stanchions so it moves up and down with them. Cheers

This will not help soft suspension. But will stiffen up front end feel. This could be good for a scrambler, depending on where the mudguard is to be mounted and how much off roading is going to be done.
