HID Kit Headlight Install (Dual Beam) Part A

Most new cars come with HID (High-Intensity Discharge) or Xenon headlights now. However, for older cars, this is a "How-to" install an HID headlight kit (plug and play) video. The kit I install in this video is an 8000K ("K" for Kelvin) Dual Beam plug and play kit.
Dual Beam refers to two functions (two bulbs) within one headlight. One bulb for low beam, one bulb for high beam.
Plug and play means no hard wiring or wire splicing during install. All plug connections. Simple, easy.
The Kelvin definition is “the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature, equal in magnitude to the degree Celsius.”
The three primary types of color temperature for light bulbs are: Soft White (2700K - 3000K), Bright White/Cool White (3500K - 4100K), and Daylight (5000K - 6500K). The higher the Degrees Kelvin, the whiter the color.
Kelvin is used in lighting to measure the color temperature of a particular light bulb. And in short, the higher the Kelvin rating (expressed in K), the whiter the light will be.
Kelvin ratings for HID colors are shown on a chart in this video at 1:44.

Here in Dallas a lot of people and I mean A LOT!!!!!! OF PEOPLE RIDE AROUND WHIT HIGH BEAMS ON AND THAT IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT

I honestly have no idea. There are a million brands and products out there. I have heard that you get what you pay for. I think most people would be more than happy with the basic/cheap plug-n-play kits like I feature in this vid.

I installed some on my truck today and the low beam’s look like regular color but high beams are “super white” and a lot brighter. Isn’t the low beams supposed to be “super white” also?

Not on all Dual Beams. Lots of times the plugs are backwards and you have to flip it. Not sure why this happens often. Cheap kits? Eh. I made a "Part B" to this video showing how to correct exactly what you are experiencing. Essentially, how to reverse the funtion like you are wanting. They are supposed to be a high, low beam.

What's the manufacturer of this kit? I've looked around on Amazon for different HID conversion kits and many of them have poor reviews.

Ya, even these have poor reviews. Its 'cause they're cheap kits and people want everything for nothing. 🤦‍♂️ These came in blank boxes with no name. The local place I get 'em from just orders them in bulk from somewhere online and they are constantly switching vendors. Any of the kits I've ever tried in this price range have roughly all been about the same. 🤷‍♂️

This once you put in the link below looks diff to what u got in the video.....are u sure the one bulb do both hi & low beam?

If they are warmed up yes. If you are rocking them as your other beam, not the one currently in use, then no because they take a moment to charge up to full brightness.
