So we have "Shristhi(HE creates), Stithi(HE maintains), Samhaara(HE destroys), Niyamana(HE governs), Jnaana(HE gives knowledge to the deserving), Ajnaana(HE gives ignorance to the undeserving), Bandha(HE gives bondage) and Mokha(HE gives salvation)" - the 8 exclusive qualities of Bhagavan. We are all bound to this real material world(Prakruti) and need HIS grace to break the shackles and reach HIM. The lotus(brahmanda) that emanated from the navel of Vishnu is the universe. It is real. The world is real. Our sufferings are real. The greatest illusion is thinking that the world is an illusion.

I don’t think Indians have forgotten our rich culture and traditions and way of life. The fact that our way of life lives on in-spite of 1000 years of foreign invaders and colonialism, our practices of today are very similar to 1000 years ago. What is in the scriptures are still followed, the Bhakti tradition of the great South Indian sages and alwars are still prevalent in India and we are fine. There is nothing in learning the good things in west.
