No, buses stop running around October time period due to slippery conditions at Zojila Pass. Now, when the roads will open in April/May, then buses usually start running again

@@discoverwithdheeraj Dheeraj, the video I wanted to make on Ladakh with inputs from your channel has missed the deadline! First take did not come out up to my expectation. This year weather in Mangaluru is unpredictable, it was too hot for the last two weeks, I was sweating like a sponge, today it rained continuously, pouring rain over the tin sheet roof of my car porch studio causing noise! Besides, I have started shooting for my long due recipe video series in two versions, Kannada and Konkani. Kannada version for my own food channel and the other for a Konkani channel.. I do everything single handed. So these tasks are at times challenging! So I am afraid, for a few days I am totally tied up and I may fulfil the pending task by this month end. Just informing about it, because I had discussed about it and said that I may complete it by December end!

Very nice information, Dheeraj bhai. A couple of questions, will the buses have space to carry luggage? Also how about stay in Kargil. If so many buses come in will there be rooms available in Kargil?

You can carry a bag or two in buses, just like any other standard bus. Kargil is big enough place where you should be able to find a guest house surely.

I generally do not recommend traveling in Himalayas especially lower ones in August..

Travel on dreams channel ke blogger ne apne video me bataya ki Srinagar se morning me 7:00 jksrtc ki bus nikalti hai jo same day evening me 7:30 par leh pahucha deti hai. Unhone khud travel kiya tha. Unke channel par vo video hai.

I really doubt that.. even today it is in general dangerous to travel over zojila pass with slippery conditions and couple of accidents have already occurred this winter season.. so I will say better avoid srinagar to kargil by road in winter even if road is open somehow.. better fly in to Leh

For Srinagar to Leh, the bus take a halt at Kargil for a night, so people book hotels for the night stay or they sleep in the bus itself?

No some buses run directly to Leh some halt at Kargil. The passenger need to find hotels themselves and sleep in hotels not in bus

Best will be to take buses till Srinagar and then if Srinagar Leh bus started then take that else take shared taxi to reach Leh.. local shared jeeps and jksrtc buses run to Saboo village as well.. Leh to Delhi you need to take shared tourist taxi to explore because public transport will not stop for sightseeing

Bhai all depends on when snowfall will begin.. if late snowfall happens or not like it happened this year in April.. if it is same as last year situation then April road may not be safe.. BTW for light vehicles on most days, due to lack of major snow, zojila is open as of now too

It will take some time, as of now not even roads are fully open. Srinagar Leh buses I expect sometime end of May, Manali Leh buses may run around middle of June

No, Manali Leh Highway is not yet open for buses but Srinagar to Leh bus has started. So you can travel to Srinagar from Delhi and then travel to Leh by bus.
