I thought Scoot for ROTY was a reasonable prediction for the season until like 3 games in when i realized that Wemby was literally molded by the basketball gods

Oof, on the RotY, could have taken Chet as a hot take and it would have been fine since he was also a great rookie but Scoot over Wemby is rough. Easy to forget how high people were on Scoot, remember when the whole world laughed at Charlotte for taking Brandon Miller

After seeing Chet's summer league by preseason I was convinced OKC would be a 50 win team. Instead they won 57 lol. Though I also thought the Spurs would win 35 with an outside shot at the play-in. Never figured Pop would try to make Sochan and Branham starting PG the first 35 games of the season though in my defense.

All of Franz Wagners numbers are up this year except 3 point percentage. As an Orlando fan I can tell you he’s doing everything better and when he’s not been on the court due to injuries this team has suffered without him mainly because he’s an elite defender and attacker. Biggest issue with Paolo and Franz is they have no spacing around them

i mean you werent too off about the thunder take. The play-in teams in the west were above .500 so its not a terrible take. I dont think anyone expected this kind of leap from OKC or the Timberwolves.

I was so excited for the Grizz take. Seriously you can bump all teams that ended above them up one ranking on your review since having that bad of an injury riddled season is unheard of. We witnessed history in the worst way, through injuries, but it was kinda amazing to see 33 players suit up for one team

The only one I really scratched my head on was Phoenix as a 2 seed. Older team with a weak bench, relying on injury-plagued players. They only cared about health headed into the playoffs and a title, not enough to compete for a #2 seed.

East - Coby White & Raptors as sellers were Bang on... Got the top and bottom seeds mostly right.... Got Magic , Hawks and Pacers completely wrong West - Spot on with many bottom and top picks Over estimated Lakers, Grizzlies & Suns Underestimated Clippers & Rockets Shit the bed with Thunder, Warriors & Timberwolves MVP pick not bad although I feel it's gonna be Luka MIP is not bad either...like atie between Maxey and White Got the Award Picks mostly wrong Shit the bed with ROY

I'm most surprised by the Kings prediction, of course behind the OKC take. The West just feels like it has 7 teams that are all play-in level (in the West at least), LAL LAC DAL NOP GSW MEM & a bad take from me was having SAS in that mix. I whiffed on the Kings pretty hard though, thought they were clearly better than all of those teams and put them as the #3 seed. SROS was spot on.

My hot take for this season is any team that hit 50 wins the Western Conference had a better season than the Celtics. The gap between the West and East has gotten pretty bad, and the advantage of getting 22 extra chances to play the bad teams in the East is a significant advantage people aren't looking at.

It takes courage and integrity to revisit predictions so you get a pass for anything close. A lot of people underestimated young teams in OKC and Orlando, but to be off by 10 seeds and 7 seeds respectively were your biggest misses. Not terrible altogether though.

the thunders take wasnt that bad. sga took an mvp leap. chet had no nba minutes and he was an amazing immediate impact rookie on both ends. jdub took a leap as big as sga imo and became the perfect player. guys like cason wallace and aaron wiggins were amazing contributors as well. they were impossible to predict.

Bro gets a pass on both the thunder & ROTY imo. A play in team to 1st seed is hard to guess but 11 seed is lowwwwwww. Would’ve been 3rd seed tho if Mavs didn’t hand them a game to see them in the 2nd round & avoid Denver. we haven’t seen anything like wemby so I get the hesitation and choosing a guy who we thought would be the dominant ball handler/go to option on the blazers. The scoot hate is justified but I remember ALOT of hornets fans livid they got miller over him.

Memphis has been really good in past seasons without JA, and there was no reason to think they wouldn't still be competitive without him. Nobody would have predicted they would have gotten off to such a horrendous start, all the injuries and that JJJ would basically refuse to work on his weaknesses while regressing defensively.

@@jelu-ol6tw Nah, I thought the Grizzlies would be lucky to get the 10 seed even if Ja played the full season. I HATED the Marcus Smart deal for them. I think Boston had been looking to get rid of him for quite some time but took awhile to find a trade that wouldn't piss off fans.

Yeah dont beat yourself up on the Grizz take, we never saw the team on the floor. Record type of seasons for players used, starting lineups, games lost to injury, etc etc. It was an historically ridiculous injured season. It was hard to watch all 82 this year.

Bro you’re so disrespectful to my hornets😂pretty much every guy we traded for before the deadline did amazing for us and helped us upset a bunch of teams that needed the win before the playoffs, we got better as much as we could having melo and mark out for the season, we were running grant williams and marques bolden at center for a few games cause both Richards and mark were out and we still found ways to win
