The crazy thing is that we could have had AF or a different version of super. Because for those who dont know, Young jiji and Toyotaru are friends and rivals. Toriyama wanted to pick a successor to him. Even though i much preferred Young jiji, toyotaru managed to win and become the successor. Actually yeah, dbs was going to prabably be different atleast after the t.o.p considering the anime was ahead. So moro, granolah and even black frieza probably wouldn't have been a thing.

In my opinion, Toyotaru is way better at telling stories than Young Jiji. But, Young Jiji has much better art than Toyotaru, in my opinion.

@afroshogun YoungJijii being the one to draw the official Manga would've been interesting but I imagine his artstyle would've changed as Toriyama made his own corrections or suggestions to it. He probably would've faced similar backlash for tracing since there are points in AF where it's noticeable.

@matrix8847 in most of Young Jiji's stories, a single chapter plays out like this: -The fight starts -Main character/side character transforms -Beats on bad guy -Main enemy transforms -Beats on MC/SC -MC/SC transforms and wins I agree with you that the Granolah arc was bad. But at least Toyotaru doesn't leave the story being super predictable. Do you know how quick an arc would be over with in DBS if Young Jiji worked on it?

To be fair, that was a combination attack that included punches -and- kicks. It also ended with a kamehameha. A combination attack with a finisher is definitely a strategy, even if it's simple.

Personally I mainly care that the storyline is Great, super’s storyline and character redevelopment is trash, so I’m glad Toriyama is back getting the db franchise back to greatness, and if youngjiji ever got the opportunity to head a main db project I hope he would take it. DB has the greatest manga/anime character ever in Goku, use him and make Great storylines don’t waste time like super has done.

Okay but lets be honest here, what was even this arc. Like, the whole story was, a strong guy with the most boring design imaginable shows up. He has the super unique ability to absorb energy that no other dragon ball villain has ever had. Vegeta fights, gets beaten, and Goku takes over and starts a tennis match of the two going back and forth at least three times going "well I guess I'll show you my real strength", and at the end its revealed that Goku didn't even really need to use ssj5 to win. What was even the point of Spoitz because nothing that has happened since seems to tie back to him. I love Young Jiji but it honestly feels like he just got bored and abandoned this story just to move on to the new saiyan arc.

This arc was overall alright, feels kinda basic as it hits the beats we normally expect. Goku and Vegeta are the focus, Vegeta takes an L, Goku mops the floor with baddie and so on. Spoitz overall felt like an inferior version of imperfect Cell, you could even say some Jiren was thrown in there.

Yeah Spoitz was kind of disappointing for me here. 😕 Although I wonder if Young JiJi will use Spoitz's backstory to set for a bigger threat in the future. 🤔 That one panel of Goku going SSJ5 was dope, and I enjoyed the author showing off Goku's smart with preventing his energy from been absorbed by using a Ki Shield. 🙂 Wait? So the "Legendary SSJ" isn't Broly. 🤨

Iv just watched through all of young jijis series on your Chanel and to be honest I love ssj5 and all but what is the point of these villains and encounters? It feels like filler arcs and the characters themselves don’t really have any progression they’re just getting stronger. I don’t want to be mean but it just seems these past arcs have been completely pointless and don’t actually contribute to any sort of narrative

I'm confused about this, the enemy here reminds of Aladjiin from another series. To make it more confusing, the ending shows a legendary saiyan, looks like Rigor. Is this really Young Jiji, the story looks similar. Must be new

Super Saiyan blue(= super Saiyan4) Ultra instinct (= super Saiyan 5) Beyond ultra instinct (super Saiyan 6/which is similar to super Saiyan God) Now I’m Dragon Ball heroes super Saiyan blue and super Saiyan 4 limit breaker are pretty much equal to super Saiyan blue. So I’m just gonna assume that’s ultra instinct(sign) is equal to super Saiyan 5. And super Saiyan 6 is pride equal to the full power of ultra instinct.
