Paul Sheldon isn’t even a writer he’s a character in Stephen Kings misery... 👁👄👁 Edit: The book is about a obsessive stalker who kidnaps her favorite book author, Paul Sheldon. The lady dressed up like Kathy Bates, the character, and she did a pretty good job at it to! So yes it was just a prank!

I have read Misery by Paul Sheldon. I liked it. There's a kovie based off of it with Kathy Bates, which I enjoyed as well. It's quite well-known, but that doesn't mean everyone knows it or that everyone should know it. There are a lot of well-known things that I am not aware of. That doesn't make me less of a good person or less sorthy to be in a book store.

It was a skit! Misery is written by Stephen King (a very famous horror author). The lady in the video was dressing up as Annie Wilkes (who was insane and obsessed with the protagonist who was a fictional author named Paul Sheldon).
