I always liked this as a kid and would go through all there animations loved that it showed the character personality in like 5 seconds.

back when i was a kid i was so infatuated by their loud style , i used to look at these chatacters and thought they were so cool and unique. Ahh... Imagine a reboot in 2022 with insane graphics, insane y2k futurism, multiplayer mode, cool ass emotes, creative maps and last of all, A GREAT SOUNDTRACK.

Such a better game than the 2012 reboot...even down to character design. I like how you can read their personality based upon their outfits and, idle animations and brief lines. They're so distinct from each other and colorful looking.

In the UK and Europe we had Marty instead of Mac and he spoke German haha

Favourites as a kid: Kaori Now: Marisol ( but I love seeiah’s personality the most and love Elise playing the mean role) I’ll forever be bitter that Marisol and Seeiah didn’t return to any games besides the secret character in ssx 3. I love how everyone felt so personal in this game and it was more than just a skin. The voice lines and interactions between, before and after races . The friendship/enemy meter. The fun level up videos. Nothing can come close.

I love the way the music evolves and adds layers every time you progress to the next function. For example, the guy goes "S, S, X..x...x...x". It's amazing musical production.

Eddie is one of my favorite characters in all of games along with duck King from fatal fury I think if they ever met in real life that they just dance forever. The amount of personality in those two individuals is amazing and it sucks that EA won't make a game filled with this much personality again

Best voice talent ever in a video game

I thought this Character select was a dream, I remember playing this as a Kid. One of the 3 first games I played, SSX: TRICKY, MAXIMO, AND RACHET AND CLANK. They weren't my games, but my dad's but I have great memories...all be it very vague so details on the gameplay are blurry. One thing I never forgot from this game was the phrase one of the characters would shout when you jumped from a tall height "I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE!!!"

Remember I spent a good time to max out all of these characters! Good times

God damn we just need more arcade sports games. I'm a big fan of sports but when it comes to games I think the arcade style suits me so much better over simulation type sports games. And there is still hope with stuff like the captain tsubasa game or stuff like windjammers coming back. I think we just need one good ssx or blitz the league to make people realize how popular arcade sports games are.

Does anybody know why the EU version never had Mac? We got his cousin, Marty instead. Always seemed like a strange choice to me considering Mac is one of the faces of the series, alongside Moby, Elise and Kaori.
