Regarding re-shelving of books: My Family- It's Saturday, let's clean the house. Dad, work on the basement where we keep the library. Dad- I'll work on the books first. Tidy it up! (8 Hours later) My Family- Where's Dad?

A parishioner sent me this poem. She had worked off it as a poetry professor over many years. It helped me love my name, and helped me continue to put down good roots.

Beautiful. I've been contemplating the Farewell Discourse a lot recently (John 14-17) and considering the beauty of the Vine image. When we come to the Lord's Table, we partake of the physical fruit of the vine as we imbibe the sweet, gladsome nourishment of Our Lord's Presence. Lord, fill me with Thy swich liquor, that I may bear good fruit of True Righteousness and be not cast away. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I've always very much liked this poem. St. Kevin's story is inspiring.

Thanks for sharing Malcolm. Incredibly, I was at Glendalough a couple of days ago - after visiting the Peterson pipe shop of course! - and went up to St Kevin's cell. It was a truly inspiring place with a beautiful view but I also found it awe inspiring to imagine the faith needed to live like they did back then.

Wonderful to come home to your fabulous reading Malcolm. I’ve been in Columbus Ohio as the international guest at a Filk music festival. One of my best memories is of the final singing circle where a musician put out percussion implements and asked us to make a sea soundscape. One of them was a rainstick! Which I got to play with while thinking of Heaney’s poem and your reading.

Hi Malcom, good to see you on this platform, and thanks for posting this video. As it happens, I just finished teaching poems from this collection, including "St. Kevin," and also from the previous collection, "Seeing Things."

I’ve just stumbled upon your poetry via a pipe smoking interview with Matt Fradd (Pints with Aquinas). Your poem was, in my opinion, more lovely and profoundly stirring than Heaney’s. I am quite moved and feel I’ve uncovered a goldmine. Thank you

oh... so refreshing to listen to you again, it has been a while. And, well, I am oh-so-pleased that your books and the space to come to us from is pleasantly disorganized and comfortably imperfect.

As a catholic and a freemason that bit about the spirit level and the plum line was very deep. It sounded very masonic. Loved the experts.... also a question in your tradition can we refer to you as father, reverend, or vicar what is the proper monicar. That I can refer to you properly in future comments. Ps I just found your vedios and I am thoroughly enjoying them. I am a 24 year old father of two from South Central Los Angeles. I started being a Dad when j was 18. Faith in our Lord is what has gotten me and mine this far. I am also a cigar and pipe smoker a hobby I learned from my grandpa and that has kept me out of alot of trouble. I like to think it has accompanied me in those moments of deep contemplation and growing up a young father must do. So this channel really resinates with me.

Always a surprise with you, Guite. Do you have any recommendations on good scholarship inti Mr. Punch? I come at this from a long lost reclaimed interest in Eshu Elegba from Nigerian culture. I am an artist and I want to make a a Punch puppet, but I want to know who he is.

I've got an idea Malcolm. How about a "pipe and Christ evening"? A few of us Norfolk locals come to your study with our pipes and tobacco, and have a good smoke while you teach us a bible study!

The slender reshelving of poetry, or was it Reshelving of slender poetry. Oh, what is it slender poetry that I must bother with it. I really must stop the clouds Of profound nonsense. I huff into the chair and send clouds And St Kenin and Blackbird into the air
