Күн бұрынA travel guide for visiting St Kilda, Melbourne's most famous beach located just 6km south of Melbourne's city center. St Kilda is also home to a colony of over 1,000 penguins. The best time to see the penguins is either at dawn or at desk. St Kilda has a very nice beach boardwalk, an amusement park (Luna Park), and a neat little main street with lots of restaurants and bakeries. Take trams 3a, 16, 96 to get to St Kilda.

I have never heard of sea baths before. That is a really interesting concept. Anyway, the beach looks really awesome!

+Scottman895 Travel Its too bad the seabaths are gone! Waikiki has something "similar" in that it has a concrete break wall to block the waves so that the water is calm within the concrete barricaded area.

ST KILDA beach is a awful beach in Melbourne, try South Melbourne beach super close to CBD less people and way nicer and cleaner. however interesting facts abt Stkilda

You go to St Kilda for the pubs and cafes, NOT swimming. For a real beach consider Phillip Island (which also has penguins) or Mornington Penisular in the south east, or Bells Beach or Torquay in the south west.

ST KILDA is actually a contaminated beach, not fit for swimming (only tourist backpackers, and clueless peeps actually swim in that water. The next beaches over, sandringham and Brighton are much cleaner and safer etc You should of checked out GREAT OCEAN ROAD, which does have truly beautiful untouched beaches... Your very diplomatic and nice, understandably for vids etc (which i find helpful too) but in reality Australia is a boring place, far away from the rest of the world, and that is its only redeeming feature (getting away from the world, and feeling like a big fish in a small pond, seems to be what appeals to tourists who come from crowded parts of the world etc)

It is pronounced St Kilda not SAINT Kilda. The rock break water, that the penguins colonised, was built for the 1956 Olympic games for the sailing. Also the capital of Victoria its pronounced Melbourne (one word) not Mel Bourne (two words), Otherwise a good video. I live nearby to St Kilda.
