St Louis Blues on Clarinet

This is W. C Handy's St Louis Blues on my Albert covered-hole clarinet (made by E. J Albert of Brussels). I recorded it to be played at the funeral of John Brackpool, who liked to play it on his clarinet.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT !!!! I CAN HEAR A BLUESY TONE IN YOUR PLAYING !!!! A lot of videos on KZfaq show the person playing the "blue notes"/blues scales but it sounds dry. The waver in your tone gave it the "feel" that i have been wanting to hear. Thanks so much!!!!

This is a song I never cared very much for ... until I heard your rendition. Beautiful, clever and sounds simple (but isn't at all). Great subtlety. What a joy!

It's a very old mouthpiece made By Hawkes & Son of London (in 1930 they became Boosey & Hawkes). The reed is Rico Royal 2 1/2.

I bought it because my hands have lost some strength and with age my fingers became less accurate in completely covering the holes. This does help, and i don't fluff any notes using it.
