What a magnificent old building. How sad it couldn't be repaired..but I'm sure renovations would have been in the millions.

This was once a beautiful structure and it is such a shame the condition it is in now. It would have been awesome if they had tried to maintain it before it became so destroyed by nature and vandals. Another piece of history lost. By the way, I love and appreciate how you narrate and give history in your videos. Great work on your part and makes for very interesting to watch. I went there in the late 60's and early 70's. This is bringing back so many memories.

I went to this school back in 89 and I remember each hiding place like the back of my hand. I did two years here and decided to finish out at Sumner.

Had some of my best times in that building. In fact a couple of my not too distant relatives are the ones who designed and built the original structure.

Cleveland HS too. HOWEVER, if you grew up in Stl and graduated (or shld hav grad) by and before 2005 then most likely you’d say Rotsey (spelled as it was pronounced bc it was ROTC). My daughter was born in 2005. I think it was spring 2007 when we were in StL Metro area to visit her g-rents when I first drove by Southwest HS and saw that VAP & ROTC had been combined. My response was “Whoa! WTF! How? When I was in HS, No Way! Never! We wldv killed each other!”

Same reason....different school.....over and over.....

You have to consider that these kids didn't have phones or laptops, and a sweater, was probably serious business, especially if somebody had stolen it.
