Im in cape coral Florida. I know a gentleman that combined forces with some friends and family and bght 20 homes in one area and instantly doubled the rents. Double or more. They were all already very wealthy before this. If the renters didn't want to sign a new lease with the new rates, they were welcome to leave. Renters that had been in some homes for 10, 15 and 20 years. People who were grounded in the community with kids in local schools and churches. Of course this gentleman had a realtor handle any confrontations so he didn't have to witness the wreckage and turmoil. It helps him sleep better at night. I know all of this because i was a handyman for him for a while. I will no longer do work for him. They are still buying up property regularly and creating a positive cash flow for all invested. Greed rules the day. Its the name of the game. And the rich keep getting richer as us lower class struggle to survive.

You should be wearing gloves when touching anything, especially needles.

As a real homeless guy I would like to say that they are two different kind of people who are homeless one of them is not homeless that is drug attic and drunks so they are claiming to be homeless because they leave a mess we’re ever they stay but real people who are homeless don’t be using drugs i so tired of people who see this situation and just assume that we are all living in the same way I just wanted to set the record straight

I was there about 2 months ago. There are sadly some very sketchy areas. I love the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and I like Sarasota SO much more than St Petes and Clearwater.

Can't imagine walking in amongst all of that trash, needles and waste. Then there's the snakes. I had just thought a moment before you mentioned the snakes, that you must be seeing them. When you walk through those camps you're taking your life in your hands.

We saw several snakes but they moved too quickly to record them gone in second

Hello Jose, It sounds like you're feeling better now, hopefully you are. Excellent video on St Petersburgs homeless camps. It's an unfortunate reality when some folks find themselves in this situation. The gentrification of many cities including St Petersburg are forcing some folks into this way of life. Of coarse the addicts, etc are in it by chosen lifestyle. Take care and God Bless. (watch out for those rattlers)

Is St Petersburg like 10 times bigger than Orlando or Tampa?
@RarriGobang45 ай бұрын
Not at all it’s prolly half the size of Tampa and maybe 3x smaller than Orlando…. I’m from Stpete

No. I grew up here. Tampa is way bigger. St. Petersburg is part of Pinellas county and the county is large.

It blows my mind how they get all that stuff into the woods. The homeless camps in Connecticut look exactly the same...

"Ecological Destruction" from a homeless camp is NOTHING in comparison to the MASSIVE widespread permanent damage done by industrial waste, industrial farming and mining in Florida. I might have subbed, but, I can't agree with nor endorse, your trying to sensationalize the environmental effect of homelessness. Most are people who are just trying to survive.

Also a fraction of the military budget or all the hands outs given to banks and corporations would fix this. We should focus on corrupt at the top. Instead, we get distracted by people that gave up on this system.

So many of these people say they want help but then think it can only be on their terms. That is not how it works though. You are living like this and you don't get much of a say on the terms for which I would give help.

This must be deep South st.pete. I know the county and i can't think of if where else u can be.

Definitely nothing like this in south st pete. If you knew the town u would know where this is
@Cmedina865 ай бұрын
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I do know the town. I grew up here. I've been here since 1991. Could be PP, up 4st N, or largo. Most of the homeless population in St Petersburg is downtown but I can't think of any wooded places left in actual Saint Petersburg other than South.
