King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is a different genre on each album & they put out an album or 2 every year they did 20 albums since 2012. The LW album is like Turkish pop music but it's funky & pretty cool

Whoever recorded and mixed this did an amazing job. I can't remember the last time I have such interesting sonics jumping out of my stereo speakers. I'm still proud that I own a St Vincent sig guitar.

I was so afraid I wasn’t tagging along on the St Vincent train anymore. Every time I hear/see her it seems to be a new “phase”. Always respectable, but some jive better than others with me. HOLY HOT RELEASE this has me back on board forever. It gave me chills like she did back in like 2007. lol

@@paulperkins1615 The Beatles and plenty other bands used multitrack tape machines to overdub stuff all the time. I think all of these instruments sound live, even if they did use overdubbing. Plus, you can see the whole band and all the backup singers playing live on SNL.

Funny cos I'm really only here cos I was literally bombarded w/Google suggestions from halfass-relevant "music publications" all saying she was basically over. Idk man, The songwriting is the strong part of this. The music is decidedly lightweight for Annie (just imo) but it's a damn sight less disappointing than the last Neubauten album.

I wonder if it’s a Jack A-thang or an Annie C-thang or an Annie and Jack-thang…. There is a cool compression with a modulation effect that ‘floats’ in this tune similarly as in Savior (Masseduction), that I really dig. Nice production guys! Thank God for music!

After (only) listening to the song a few times, I've finally watched the video. This might sound strange - though the song/music is the principle draw for me. Anyway, now that I'm acquainted with the music, the video is reminiscent of Shaft meets Beastie Boys with a touch of Streets of San Francisco, stairs instead of the hills of Noe Valley. Honorable mention for footwear: Those yellow socks slay! I can't help wonder what odor was permeating through the walls and carpets in this dilapidated pre-gentrified abandoned building. And was it more spooky or more intimate with a COVID-era production skeleton crew? Ah, lovely to see the tech I grew up with. Analog forever! Looking forward to listening to the album in sequence to hear the entire story. PS: Unity and healing for the Clark Clan. Daddy's Home! Rock on!

I am loving St Vincent. Maybe it's because I'm absorbed in the Beat Literary Movement and I keep seeing and hearing in her art old theme's from back in the day, like when The Stones were singing 'Doncha Bother me" and "Please Go Home" while Steely Dan was complaining about some unwanted visit from a "Gaucho" or J Giles paranoia about somebody at the back door just to name a few tunes off the top of my head. I kinda like it when artist like Annie use intelligent literary references from books and visual aids to remind us that reading books (edit: and music, like a mini Beat Opera) is a superb way to communicate with each other. Ms Clark has earned my respect and... my money 'cus I will be buying this hip shit. Too many artist write about things I don't care about. This doesn't seem to be the case with St Vincent (very cool name BTW)
