The screw holds the centrifugal switch on. You are supposed to put a wrench on the flats of the motor shaft, and using a band wrench remove the impeller. the shaft is more easily accessed by discharging and placing the starter capacitor out of the way.

You can leave the centrifugal switch in place- place a 7/16" wrench on the flats behind the switch to remove the impeller

I have the same pump but can not find the correct gasket. Called pool store and not help. Did the sealant seem to have worked well enough in place of the gasket?

I have a loud noise coming from the motor. The pump is delivering water but the motor has become very loud. I don't see any grease fittings on it though. Any ideas?

Hey. Probably the bearings are going out. I finally had to replace this one. Got a good one from home depot.

Did not show how to take apart , why make video then. I needed to see impeller come off
