It’s an age-old question, and one that many lifelong surfers struggle to answer....
Rather than testing unknown board, we’re gonna use a familiar board as the ‘control variable’ and use it to examine the differences between three new thruster sets - the Rake (R6), Neutral (F6), and Pivot (P6) - in Futures’ Legacy Series.

Most of us that have tried 3+ thruster sets of fins know that they all feel different but the difference between Thrusters-2+1s-twin fins- quad fins would be more interesting. Personally I used to ride thrusters but now quads when there's swell and twin fins or 2+1 daily

I agree all I ride is quads and 2 +1 . Sometimes I switch to thruster from time to time but so much slower and stiffer

Pretty stoked to get some f6 alphas for my driver 3.0 round tail. I’ve been using the jordys on it which feel pretty cool but I just know I’ll be so much more comfortable with the f6 s on it with the nice lightweight stiffness of the of the alphas and the hold of the round tail.

The boards just been collecting dust cause the combo of the round tail with the Jordy fins it’s gotta be really firing and just right or it’ll track . I don’t mean to take a backstab at Britt or anything I’m just saying cause I’m stoked just thinking about how it’s gonna feel

That said the rakiness of the jordys in combo with the round tail does help on mushy days.

Key word is theory. I feel that a good surfer would make any fin set up work. I don’t have the funds to purchase tons of fins. I stick em on and they stay on 😊

These fins basically come in three sizes. The number after the letter refers to the fin size (ex. pivot fins are P4, P6, P8). He's a small dude on mediums.

is future a sponsor or this channel? the majority of people in the world use FCS. FCS II is screwless and superior to the silly screws system (future still has and FCS used to have) FCS has the essential series of fins which now future is copying the idea (good marketing)

Fcs2 is good tô your shaper who will fix your Board more frequently. New is overvalued relative tô GREAT

I'm a convert to Futures. Used to only ride FCS 2 for years. Screw less is a bit of a gimmick in my experience. I find the system quite difficult to get in and out of the boxes, compared to just sliding in a fin and tightening one screw. The main reason I have switched though is the futures boxes are just stronger. Have damaged many fcs boxes and have had fins pop out over nothing etc. FCS boxes particularly bad if you're riding a big keel fin or similar. Can't beat a strong futures box and the reliability of being held in by a screw.

@@DanVal4 i surf pretty small waves and guttless. so no issues with FCS II. also, I find the boxes great to replace fins during sessions. no tools needed. no issues.

@@IIIxwaveIII yeh definitely a bit more convenient. I just always have an Allen key with my other fins now so not really an issue for me personally.

I’ve lost at least 4 fins from different sets of screwless fcsII’s while surfing. I rather use screws, I prefer futures for that reason.
