Definitely had a blast watching Stacey with my father since the very beginning. Back when Stacey hosted Trucks in 1999. My father was the hands on DIY guy, I dont have the patience unfortunately. My father was called home in 2018, but watching these brings back great memories and i still have project vehicles, however if my father was still here in good health, they'd be completed a lot faster. God Bless Stacey.

Watched a friend's dad remove a broke back glass out of his squarebody. Even though it was shattered to an easy zillion bits, it was still all in the frame. Carefully sprayed contact cement on it and a sheet of cardboard. When it got set, gently pressed it into place on the cardboard, pulled it out as one piece made of of millions of pieces. Went ahead and tinted the new back glass while it was flat on his table but wasn't careful with a socket. Instead of paying for a new sheet. A wide roll of stretch film and more clear spray adhesive. Custom back window. Crackled tinted. Tripped folks out to see it because they thought it was an applied treatment, not actual broken glass glued to stretch film under clear table top epoxy, and tinting on the other side. Probably would have been cheaper to just get a new piece of glass, but eh. It looks quite cool.

I'm so full of mixed emotions. Part of me smitten with admiration reminiscing watching Stacey, I'm reminded of 💥HORSEPOWER TELEVISION💥 as the coolest thing I ever watched in HS in the late 90s. It solidified me being a tech. Viewing UTI and WyoTech commercials every break. Dreaming of working on hot rods and building race engines, I wanted nothing more with my life. So I went to school and fought for a job as an automotive tech. I knew after about 8 years in I made a poor decision, both figuratively and literally, but I kept on grinding. Now I'm 21 yrs into this career and burnt and worn out. I've struggled hard the past 25 yrs barely making ends meet, and trying and working harder than most other people in every shop. Often working 12 hrs/day 6 days/wk, and it's just not cutting it. Not profitable. And hard, filthy work. I need a career change.... and I'm so lost on what. 😢

I am doing the same thing on a 1990 ranger. I haven't had the thing on the road since 2007. It sat abandoned at an old farm. The new owner of the property gave me a call and said to grab it before she sent it to the crusher. I have to do every thing from brake lines to inside. But I hope to have it on the road by next summer!!!!
