Listened to this when I was 16 and now I'm 33. It's one of the few songs I never outgrew and probably never will (esp her "[There's Gotta Be] More to Life"). The lyrics become truer and truer as we age. There's indeed a level of maturity in her lyrics.

February 21st of 2023, Fujiko, Japan. This song is still playing on the radio here. I used to be a fan so this feels very cool. Her self-titled album was such a great accomplishment by Stacie. Whatever she does these days, I hope she takes pride in this

I loved this song when I was a teenager. I hadn’t heard it for a good 20yrs and then when I was on holiday last week, it came on MTV 2000’s and I got so excited. 🤣 a 35yr old dancing around a hotel room to all the songs of her youth. Love it.
Grew up listening to Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Stacie Orrico and Avril Lavigne (Back then when she was really good). Miss those days. I still have their songs stationed in my mp3.

@chiselmarr14147 жыл бұрын
She was always Christian Pop. This song (Stuck) was only from her second album, she had an album in 2000. And also, this album with Stuck also had other Christian songs in it. And her third album (beautiful awakening) had songs like I'm not Missing You. She was always Christian Pop.
@Daniwasinvented7 жыл бұрын
She had two huge hits. Top 40 hits. And lot's of airplay on TRL (a popular mainstream show back then). Not to mention, this blurry upload here has almost eleven million views. I think it's safe to Stacie Orrico had an awesome career.
@PastelAmulet9 ай бұрын
I was incredibly sheltered as a homeschool kid in the 2000s. I was obsessed with this song, I only heard it because she was considered a Christian singer and so I had the album it was on. It kinda became a big buzz when the moms heard the lyrics and got upset, since stuff like dating was forbidden 😂 Now I'm 33 and I had it pop into my head, I would play this on repeat while I drew in my room. Still sounds so good 💖
@theonlynorbs42722 жыл бұрын
After all these years it's still my jam! The perfect balance between a catchy beat, meaningful lyrics & a beautiful voice. I really wish we'd gotten to see more of her as a mainstream pop singer but it didn't work out that way.
@gottalovetheinternet2 жыл бұрын
I think she didn’t sexualise herself enough to compete at the time. Her competitors were Xtina, Britney, JLo, Beyonce… hyper hyper sexualised performers but unfortunately it’s what worked at the time.

Der Song kam raus, wo ich noch die Grundschule besuchte. Jetzt höre ich es 2023, nach sehr langer Zeit wieder und es ist schön aber auch schmerzhaft. Grüße aus dem verhassten Deutschland!
