No disrespect to the other coaches over the years that you have interviewed, learned and put in the video for us to watch, Brandan. But I think Dr Kwon’s method is something really profound and, I could see it here in your “new” swing in this video. Very powerful, balanced and natural. In my opinion this is your best swing. Very inspiring! Thank you Brandon and Dr. Kwon!

Well, that was a really informative video. I just tried this Stage 1 drill and went from 84-85 to a couple at 93, 94 mph - WITH a LOB WEDGE. The left shoulder thing (holding it back) really feels different but it seems to really add speed. Looking forward the the following vids on these drills.

Delaying the opening of the shoulders after the weight has shifted to the front leg has given me a huge boost when compared to the other instructors who were advocating opening up early before the weight fully comes to the front foot.

100% more speed and should give you a natural draw pattern. We get too caught up in positions! It should be an athletic continuous motion. Don't use a ball initially until you can get the sequence right. It should feel like you are using the ground more and the arms less.

Gained 8-10 mph doing the drills since I started last week. Biggest take away from this video was when he said look over the shoulder on the back swing. During my sessions, I found it easier to feel more fluid with better timing on my back swing which increased in length. I wasn’t sure if this was right, but it is.

I haven't gotten the chance to try this yet, but when I saw this steps drill along with Dr Kwon's genius in explaining this to perfection regarding what he wants to have the student's swing thoughts to be to accomplish these amazing improvements. I'm so excited to get back out this spring and do this drill and put his teaching to use. In the past my best driver play for distance and accuracy have been when my lower body was on point. I remember hitting it 340 -345with a wet fairway during one round a few years ago and feeling like my lower body action was the the best I had ever felt. I felt almost like a stretch or strain in a good way through the tops of my legs into my glutes and muscles in my groin sending a drive that looked like a frozen rope with a 330 yd carry. I always tried to figure out how to get that feeling whenever I had trouble off the tee that year. Now after a couple year lay off from the game I can't wait to play, especially to get back out there hitting it long again. # DrKwon

I discovered that for a proper weightshift to the target in downswing, you have to make a distinctive weightshift away from the target in the backswing. Feels like swaying but my video shows its not. Results in more power and better contact (easier production of low point in front of ball). It seems counterintuitive, but it works. In essence the opposite of stack and tilt body motion, which i tried many years but never worked well.

Good stuff from Dr Kwon, quietly rubbishing what so many pros teach nowadays. Spinning the shoulders, opening the hips and chest fast may work for very fit young pros with perfect backswings and transitions but for most of us, including good golfers will just cause an over the top motion. His idea of swinging and releasing towards the target (someone you hate) is so much better than most of the guff spouted by KZfaq pros.

The main underlying skill taught here is to respond to a swinging loading clubhead. Ernest Jones taught this from 1920's onwards and is one of golfs greatest teachers. Mo Norman said Jones and Manuel de la Torre were the greatest teachers of the golf swing ! When I was coaching I would often get pupils to start the swing from a half way follow through position and also get them to make several back and through swings prior to hitting a shot. The improvement was almost always phenomenal and instant.
