He’s had many managers and record companies approach him, but he refuses to sign with anyone. He won’t give up total artistic control, it’s just that simple.

Dimash said in an interview that he works with many producers from different countries and they work through trust and friendship. He says he has a "quirk" in his personality in that he doesn't do well when told what and how to sing, how to perform and what to wear. He has to sing from his heart and choose the songs himself. He is world famous and has been living and working in LA for most of this year, writing and recording and collaborating with big producers there. He still has the same mindset though as to who he works with and what he sings and I have full respect for his choice. I wouldn't like to see him commercialised as he is unique and is doing just fine doing it his way! He has perfect body control and condition because of his taekwondo training and swimming, horseriding, running, fotball training etc. He can do some crazy high jumps and also high kicking with his legs. Dimash sings different genres ; classical, folk, rap, opera, pop,jazz, rhythm& blues. He has songs & performances that you can listen to . Dimash is a very smart young guy. He stays part time in LA to collaborate with well known composers , musicians & songwriters to expand his music to blend in with the Western music. He met with David Foster few months ago and discussed the art of music and sone business aspect of it. But I heard him during a quick question fron a fan and ge quited I will talk about it later but I don’t think I’m ready. See, David Foster can put an artist in a limelight by introducing the artist/ singer to the American people & others but he picks his own compositions& songs but I don’t think Dimash is willing to do that yet. See, when he the composer creates the music, Dimash likes to share his input how the song goes and when he collaborated with the famous Russian composer, Mr. Krutoi, they work well together & also brings his own music arranger. Dimash does want to break into the mainstream, but his way. You haven't heard the songs yet, but he has quite a bit of pop music too. Some of them are those short songs that appeal to younger audience, without too much substance. But majority are the emotional, epic songs that we love. But I'm also ok with the fun songs too. The Weekend is a new pop song he collaborated with a Turkish DJ, Burak Yeter. His own composition Zhalyn (Flame), Together, A song his younger brother composed for him, Neverland, a upbeat Chinese song. Dimash usually takes his ear piece out because he wants/needs to hear himself. But during a concert (not a performance, like this one), he likes hearing the crowd. And of course sometimes the ear piece stops working. This case its definitely, he wants to hear himself.

Terry Lin is the fellow in the glasses, & was happy with Dimash doing well. Despite the 28 year age difference, they have become friends. Dimash calls him Lin Papa as he was not able to allow himself to call Terry by his first name.

Clearly, so far at least, You have not heard his pop songs. May I suggest the music video for Screaming and Be With Me for starters. I'm curious what you'll think when you hear his rap/hip hop and other contemporary music of his. His fan base numbers in the millions.

By now you know why Dimash remains an independent artist (for the freedom and integrity) but he has done a few more simple pop songs if you’re interested in hearing what a more mainstream version of Dimash sounds like, I’d recommend you to listen and react to Fly Away, Be with Me, and Weekend. Fly Away is very simple yet catchy and his softer register takes the lead. It’s one i can listen to in the car and I always hit repeat because it’s honestly a vibe. Very Michael Jackson inspired.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. Watched this again. The guy you thought had that Harry Potter vibe is Terry Lin. He was 54 at the time of the show, and Dimash was 22. They became very close and Dimash referred to him as "Lin Papa". All of the other singers' sort had taken Dimash under their wing and looked out for him. One contestant paid for an expensive medication when Dimash became ill and lost his voice. Dimash and Terry Lin had appearances together during his time in China. Speaking of listening to other singers, Check out Terry Lin's performances on Singer 2017. Loved him, especially when he sang Writings On The Wall from the James Bond movie. In episode 8 he combined two songs so smoothly; the first one was sung in Mandarin and he transitioned to Scarborough Fair so seamlessly. That was the episode when Dimash was ill but still performed Daybreak. You could see on his face that he was in pain, but he pushed through and still got a standing O. I enjoyed every episode of Singer 2017, and not just because of Dimash...even though he was the highlight.

Pop music? Listen to the official MV, Dimash singing BE WITH ME, when he rap and fight like Matrix in a bar over a girl he likes. Or FLY AWAY both in English, or MV Screaming.

You may not be aware the Dimash has performed a solo concert in December 2019 to a sold out crowd at the Barclay Center in New York . He has a much larger following then you think.

Dimash already famous the whole world after the singer .. he has a lot of concerts already 2018 etc he just had this year in Iran and Malaysia.. research research

Seems Dimash often takes out his earpiece when he is fixing to belt like crazy. Dimash does do pop, Be With Me, Give Me Your Love, Fly Away, Screaming, Zhalyn for starters. I prefer the ballads more because they are very moving but I love the MV Be With Me because it is just so much fun.

He does sing popera, a mix of pop and opera. Please watch stranger and screaming. He also does the fifth element! X😅

Before this episode, Dimash didnt do well in his performance. He was in danger to be eliminated so thats why he picked this big song to regain his spot again. There was a video way back i saw showing when he was practicing this song and he was struggling coz how demanding this song was. But at the end, his performance was breathtaking and of course he won first in this episode. Others think that he was over the top on this performance but they dont realize this was a compitition and all contestants were well known professional singers in their countries. So Dimash has to give all in order to win. Actually, he said in an interview, he thinks he will only last 3 or 4 episode and he will be gone. He won 2nd but to be honest he should be the winner but at the time i heard politics played a part of it. There was a lot of backlash from the spectators to the managers of this program. So the following year, they have to gain their reputation back by inviting Jesse James and other foreign singers. That year Jesse James won.❤ dear from Canada
