As some might know, this video was BLOCKED. Went through 6-7 iterations. Posted it and was not thrilled with the quality, very choppy. I was able to go back in and fix it a bit once again. I felt you guys deserved better, apologize for the issues. ❤ thanks for watching.

FWIW I would not have noticed anything about the audio -- indeed I'm still not sure whether I'm just imagining a *minuscule* lowering -- if you had not put up some text about the mic dropping.

@@ralphmellor1909 I was actually referring to the video being blocked. I went through 6 or 7 iterations. Was finally able to make it work by messing with some EQ settings and also blocking the video completely. The previous version I uploaded was terrible. Wasn’t happy.

He really has thought of every type of training for his singing and continues to work and train every day and still works with teachers whenever he can. He really does work so hard and, boy, does it show with every performance. He is amazing! Loving your reactions, so thank you very much 😊🙏💖

Dimash lives breaths sleeps music. Training since 5 and singing before that, he never drinks, smokes or takes drugs, has only been in a night club twice, and hates vacations, because all he wants to do is perfect and create music.....he has a Masters and is working on his PhD in music at the same time as being a super star. Someone asked him what the secret was or some such question and he said something like it's nothing, it's easy you just have train since 5, devote all of your time and energy to it....that's all not hard at all....oh yae and he has a great sense of humor obviously 🙋🏻‍♂

The lyrics were written by American songwriter Sharon Vaughan. Dimash replaced one of the stanzas with his four part vocalization, probably assuring that no one else in the world could sing it like him! Krutoy at the piano composed Stranger just for Dimash's voice, and so it shall remain. ❤

I've been listening to Dimash for more than 3 years! You definitely need to see “Story of one sky” - it’s a film masterpiece, the music was written by Dimash himself and a very deep work. I'm not exaggerating. See for yourself! Get ready, it won't be easy for you)) There are 2 most successful versions of this song - a video (the most expensive and very emotional) and a live fan-cam performance. Both of these versions are worthy of your attention - they are different and amazing in their own way. Good luck!

That instrument that was being played is called Kobyz, it’s a Kazakhstan instrument and so is the Kobyz. It’s one of the oldest instruments in the world. Dimash practices 3 hours a day when he can. Igor Krutoy is a world renown composer. He had decided to retire when he was introduced to Dimash. Igor came out of retirement to compose for Dimash. Whenever he is playing the piano, he’s playing one of his songs that he wrote for Dimash! If Dimash’s group is playing the music, he will introduce everyone at the end of a concert or performance. He likes everyone to get his or her dues. 😁♥️

Great reaction! 👍 Stranger is an epic song with touches of medieval, Gregorian and even a march together. I love Dimash’s different voice textures specially the Middle East vibes in those riffs and runs 🎤❤️🔝🎼👏👏 Igor Krutoy said “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way” The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre. 🔝🔝

Looking at your reactions, it is quite evident that have been "Dimashified." We understand that it is hard to pause on Dimash. By the way, the instrument you like is called a Kobyz. It is a traditional Kazakh two-stringed instrument in the lute family. The strings are made of horse hair. That note was held for 19 seconds. Dimash began his music studies at the age of five and still does vocal training for 3-5 hrs. every day. Perhaps during your musical journey with Dimash, you might listen to his performances from his time on "The Singer 2017." It was on this show that he was introduced to the world stage. He was the youngest and first foreigner to have been invited to compete on the show. It was a singing competition for professional Chinese singers only. He was 22 and the other singers were 12-39 yrs. his senior, and knew nothing about him. He finished in 2nd. place, but in all honesty, he should have finished first. The singer who won was a beloved and respected Chinese singer. He remained in China for two years. recording and doing concerts. They even built a state-of-the-art studio for him. My favorites from the show were "Adagio", All By Myself", and "Unforgettable Day." The latter he wrote himself when he was 19. He only spoke Kazakh and Russian and had one week to learn each song. Including songs in English and Mandarin. He did a great job with "The Show Must Go On" also. Thank you for your comments. I have learned a good deal listening to you.

,@@AuspTheAwesome Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Surprisingly, however, you are the first person to have felt that way. I think Dimash was just having fun, just like when he performed Uptown Funk. That song was not a favorite of mine, but, he seemed to have so much fun doing it. Those were the only two songs that he performed where he seemed to be more relaxed. He had a lot of pressure on him while doing that show; carrying the weight of his country, being in a foreign country without family and friends, and not speaking or understanding the language. On top of all of that, he had only one week to learn songs in languages that he had never spoken before. So, you call it a "stain on his singing career, I say it was just a pressure valve that needed to be utilized. By the way, his performances on Singer 2017 of "All By Myself, and "Unforgettable Day" are among my favorite performances.
@AuspTheAwesome

@@deborahwilliamson2173 Uptown Funk was fine, "All By Myself" provided second-hand embarrassment. His detractors' (A lot of them are out there) main qualm, from what I've read over the years, was his showiness and I couldn't think of any performances that they would have arrived to that conclusion but his "All By Myself" performance as well as Opera 2. Opera 2 was also understandable as it is a very difficult song to sing and it served the purpose of demonstrating his immaculate range which is clever to do in a singing competition.

This was incredibly sweet that you redid this for us.🤩😍🤩 This is soo much better.😂 The first pronounciation was perfect. 👍 His name will sound different depending which country he is in. The Russians add an "ov" onto his last name and the Chinese add "ee" onto his first name.🫤 Dimash is music obssessed. His entire life revolves around training and being careful of his voice and it has pretty much been that way for 20 years. He swims as often as he can to increase breath control and squeezes in some other exercise like tennis, football (soccer) and martial arts to stay limber and flexible. He does vocal exercises at least 3 hours every day without fail and up to 10 hours a day for the week leading up to a concert. Essentially, he trains like a Vocal Olympic athlete. Thank you for sharing this with us. 🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🌹🦭🇨🇦

I always enjoy your reactions, you look as if you can really FEEL the music. ❤My next suggestion : Confessa and the Diva Dance. Of course everybody who knows "The fifth Element" also knows the Diva Dance, sung by the alien. And of course it's awesome when Dimash (the alien😊) is singing it!!! But I like Confessa even better, a sad heartbreaking Italian love song. Don't miss it! Love from Germany 😊

Thanks for the reaction and the dedication to getting this uploaded (again). "That means I obsessively obsess on things I think about" - NF (Leave Me Alone) Thought I would throw in a NF line 😂 but seriously, Dimash is amazing and I appreciate your reaction.

My pleasure bro, I just didn’t feel right, having that video soo chopped up. Once I changed the EQ settings a little and blocked the video, we were good. Also, I have an nf album review for hope coming. It will be exclusive for james for about a week or so and then I’ll make it available for your tier (the most popular one). Appreciate you JB

Was it blocked? Dimash is an independent singer and trolls of many companies report his videos and song and also KZfaq sometimes blocks you but not others that show the full video. Let´s say is part a market issue and a part of luck. At the beginning sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobyz. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound. Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again"

Yes and it was a random company that copyrighted the video. Once i made some changes the copyright changed to the music group that owns dimash’s music. I have to look but it is a music group, could be his own but yes someone random person has the copyright for the video.

Kpop singers are trained to not let aggressive dance movements interfere with their rap nor singing. While kpop is primarily a South Korea thing, they do incorporate idols from other Asian countries. So all of that to say to me its more of an Asain ability? I mean in general Asians are more about excellence in every area, especially compared to Americans. Ez mil was my first favorite Asian artist. I really appreciate how professional they are on every level you know?

Most definitely, always a very meticulous approach. But we must give credit where credit is due. The forefathers that popularized the sounds and laid the blueprint and foundation for kpop and ez mil to walk on must be acknowledged (for each respective genre). Without them there is no Ez or blackpink, bts etc.
