Thank you for talking about PPE often times. It is just glazed over. I am glad you showed us what you wear. Thanks to your suggestions I might look into using materials that don’t involve lead like Something with a higher melting point, and also came without blood. Great video keep it up! Thanks for showing us your super cute creation!

Hi ! I'm really new into the hobby and sorry if my question seems dumb, but how did you do the eyes and nose ? Did you just draw on the glass with a marker ? Thanks !

You can get a glass paint marker!

Thank you for this video! It's so informative and also very pretty to look at. I love the glass you used for the background, it looks so much like water! I have a question though, because you said lead is only dangerous when ingested. In my country it used to be a tradition to heat up lead, but then it was banned because of dangerous fumes that should not breathed in and that form when heating up lead. So is the lead you use for stained glass special in a way that does not produce fumes? Or can the mask filter that out 100%? I'm just very hesitant about the fumes because there has been so much information here due to the ban.
@Raiethstar3 ай бұрын
Definitely wear a better mask. One with replaceable filters should have an option for welders. That’s what you want. Otherwise go for an n100 HEPA particulate filter. Even if you are using lead-free WEAR A MASK. The hotter temps actually make the fumes worse. Anything rated for welders will be good enough for solder.

@@Raiethstar Thank you! I will look for a mask for welders!

What am i doing wrong my solder falls off in beeds and hardens immediately. It also doesnt run down the tip like this it just collects till it gets too heavy and falls in a lump. Im horrible at this apperently.
@created.by.lottie Жыл бұрын
Nooo you're not horrible! Sorry for the delay in my response but this could be so many different things! It might be the solder you are using, there are different grades of solder as well as amount of lead. Though I think it sounds like your missing tip tinner on your iron, or possibly your iron is too hot. Hopefully you've resolved the issue now though! Let me know how you got on!
@morganclark4362Ай бұрын
do you think you could link that tip tinner you're using to clean the tip? I've tried searching for it on Amazon and can't find it!
@sazjhАй бұрын
Depends on where you are I think! So if you’re UK, it’s on tempsford stained glass and the creative glass guild! For US, I think another stained glass artist gets hers from Amazon

After you soldered the jump rings, How did you put on the lead came in that area at the top?
@created.by.lottie Жыл бұрын
I place the came as close to the rings as I can get it then solder on top of the came joining it to the solder already on the ring. I hope that makes some sense, but I will make sure to add this into one of my future videos!

What makes a good KZfaqr vs a not so good KZfaqr is to answer questions. If it wasn't mentioned in the video that makes it even more important. If you want to help us and it is for educational purposes, then please take the time to answer. We really appreciate it! Just my opinion 😊
